my post update experience

After an hour and a half I finally got the update. Played some Annex for awhile. Got tired since I never had more than a few seconds to relax.:)

Finally, we decided to try ranked. But probably because everyone was trying no one could find my room. So back to Annex Player match.

Later started playing Ranked Execution 7 rounds. Poor connection and somehow got lucky and got one kill. Did another one on Clock tower and same thing. One kill. I kept getting downed so fast with machine gun fire I didn't have time to move from cover to cover half the time.
So next match tried Raven down. That didn't work either. Ended up getting 2 shotguns and 5 chainsaws because I was in another poor connection. Somehow we won that one.

Tried Escalation and got a kill by being tagged. Very cool.

So right now I am about 50/50 on update.

- lancer fire more powerful.
+ boomshot downing
+ hammer of dawn

neutral - roadie and getting stuck

- not letting people join in a ranked game of annex when others quit.

oh ok. I have been pissed about the boomshot. I have shot it very close to people and they would not even been paused for a second (like the gernade) but now it will down them sweet :)

I enjoy the lancer being more powerful. I don't think the boomshot should've downed people like that. I think it's powerful enough if you use it correctly.

the stronger lancer should make ppl start to use the lancer more now so its not just an all out shotty fest.

It took a while to get used to playing against a team of lancer shooters. I think I can live with it. I still think most people will use shotgun still. But the fact that I couldn't even get up the first set of stairs without being downed sucked. So if you are playing Clocktower and you don't go up right away you can hold the stairs for awhile.

Actually it's less chainsawing.... Lancer is THE best weapon to stop chainsawers on. You just spray, and even with lag, a bullet is bound to hit em and stop em. Then the chainsawer is royally screwed.

I got a few chainsaws in yesterday that tried to chainsaw me. Shoot them and when you get close enough press B. But it also worked the other way around. So from now on. shoot first then do B.

The whole claim that CSHD leads directly to cheating is nothing but a bullchit cop-out. :mad:

If someone is truly determined to cheat, they will. There is no reason to penalize us all with inferior gameplay simply to keep some hypothetical guy from cheating, when he can do so now by modding if he wishes.

I would be a little happier if they would just put the state or country in place of host. For the US state would be better. Tx- USA or something like that.
On my laptop I used Microsoft's location utility. and it showed me in Indiana. While I am with my laptop in Plano, TX. So if that is right then my connection is going all the way to Indiana first.

Keep forgetting to check when I am at home to see what Time Warner is showing. Since I am in the center of country you would think it is more ideal for people on both sides of continent.

But client side detection would have probably gotten me my serious acheivement by now.
