Me too man! I'm going crazy at work just thinking about it. I'm actually having a "practice session" on Saturday to get used to playing on the LAN rather than XBL.

I've never played GOW on a LAN before. It must be awesome with no lag.

Have fun. Practice before by hosting, as lan has no lag. I play with lag, so I am a stranger when it comes to hosting lol.

Prepare yourself for gears of war as it is meant to be. Lag free. God there is no way you can call this a bad game when the lag is taken out.

I personally have not yet played much lan other than single xbox on xbox yet but when me and my friends arrange our next 24hours game spree we have already designated enough copies of gears (for those who don't have it) to go around for most likely two games simultaneously. (kinda wish we could cram more than 8 ppl per game, if not for serious play then at least for just having fun)

Wow you guys are lucky I dont have any XBL gamer friends near me so am left dealing with the daily lagtastic matches...

The host team advantage is absolutely ridiculous in this game...It would be a MUCH better game if Epic would put some proggramers to work on a netcode patch which I highly doubt would ever happen seeing as how badly they got flamed by the 360 host-name patch trolls..
