Just had to update?!

I was wondering if anyone else just had to update gears when they logged on tonight. I have been playing all day and went out to get dinner, and when I got back and started up the game, I had to update. Anyone know what its for?

i cant remember, i read it this morning on a thread, someone said they updated again, and they were accused of lying or something!!! I had to go out then! But this is defo the seond person to mention it that I know of! I have had GoW on today and recieved no suxh thing however. I am in the uk though its 2.50am and I must have had the game on at about 5pm ish! Im debating whether to turn it on now!

Im not lieing I had to update when I put in Gears of War, but my xbox might be update crazy. I just bought rainbow six, turned it on and had to update, then turned off my xbox and turned it on again and had to do another update for Rainbow six. My roomate tried his gears of war but he didnt have the update. It was really wierd.

you know I had the same thing like a week or so after the match just some random little update when I started up gears. I don't get how it could have been a regular xbox live update since I was in the dashboard moments before. meh maybe just timing
