I understand that if I'm not hosting I should lead my shots, but I still can never seem to hit anybody even in the body. I can lead my lancer and shotgun shots just fine. Anybody out there good with sniper while not hosting? If so what would you recommend.

With the lancer, you are probably not quite as far away, so you're aiming at a bigger target...plus, you're probably only landing like 50% of the shots...however there are a ton of shots coming out rather than 1...like with the longshot.

Anyway, the thing with leading is that it is going to be different everytime you play as a non-host, because the amount of latency is slightly different.

I don't think there are a whole lot of tips to be given on this one. Just make sure you have the height right...and when they are about two steps away from entering your target, squeeze. Really, from far away, it is just going to be a matter of luck. If you want to have good success with the longshot in a game where you are experiencing latency, I would suggest using it in mid-range battles more often.

If you want to stay far away and snipe, for the most part, you're going to want to look for sitting ducks...so go to odd areas that have a view of popular "snipe" areas, and pick off their sniper.

It's posts like these that make pretty ticked at Epic and their rush job on GOW to compete with the PS3 and the Wii launches.

Non-hosts have to shoot enemies as if they're lobbing footballs at them; leading them with bullets.

Hey it could be worse I guess. Epic could have created a sports game where you have to swing the bat before the pitcher winds up, or tackling a wide receiver before the QB throws it (hopefully there would be a pass interference glitch to cut down on penalties).

Sorry about the flame Epic, but you really muffed up the Multiplayer portion of this game. I hope you make a patch to fix this crap.

watch where the bullets are--it doesn't matter where the reticule is if the bullets are 10 feet behind, use the tracers from the bullets as a guideline and adjust your aim accordingly, some hosts are better than others, just pay attention to the bullets and get a feel for the weapon and you can become host like. With the sniper it is hard since some hosts have more lag than others. Some hosts you will have to lead the shot more, some hosts alot less or maybe not at all..Practice--I do not have any off host sniper tips since I am not great at it.

Active Reloads. Dont Zoom in.. Just Aim make sure its red and fire.

Ive had soo many headshots this way... or even better just downing a guy and melee his buddy trying to pick him up. 2 kills for you right there plus 2 downs. Also you can kill them how you wish depending on your weapon for whatever achievement.

Downs mean more points. Shotgun kills dont give you ****.. maybe a headshot every now and then.. or a down every now and then but mostly just blows you into bits.

Another thing. If you see some one standing against a wall on cover not seeing you, and a headshot is possible.. As quick as you can aim scope fire, then move. You'll get the headshot and no one will know where you are if you can relocate quick enough.
