Shotty and longshot, with occasion torque bow. I use lancer when I have to but I don't like chainsawing, to me it is pretty noobish.

Why do you say that using the chainsaw is noobish? I find people running around with the shotgun without a care in the world a bit noobish. I don't know too many people who are actually good with the lancer.

Requires a lot of skill to chainsaw someone when you consider that they only have to shoot you once when your chainsaw is revved.

Plu,s when you sneak up on a guy its sort of like Halo's wack in the back. Instant kill.

I like the lancer. Youknow why because when u have somone trying to run at you with the shotty which happens a whole lot you just whip it out and unload from a far and the spray when they get close then you whip the shoty and you get a nick off them and you nkow what there dead

Yes but I am not talking about 1 on 1 and pulling a chainsaw. I am talking about about a guy who does nothing but chainsaws, and half the time he gets you when you are fighting 1 or 2 others. I am really good with the lancer but like I said I don't like the chainsaw. It is a legit strategy but I call it noobish if you can't fight me with a gun.

And true, you can shoot them once and stop the saw but it is a 50 / 50 chance that it works, the chainsaw is the "DEADLY HOOVER VACUUM".

I have no problem with sneaky chainsaws but but don't do it when it is 3v1, or even nade tag it is a pansy move in my opinion anyways.

I don't know why people feel it has a HOOVER like suction to it. I have never had a situation when not hosting or hosting, that I felt I got pulled into a chainsaw. Its range is anything infront and 90 degrees to either side of you.

And I also love to use it when I see my teammate circle straffing with an enemy and he doesn't see me coming. Or when I use a downed guy as bait and just as he's about to revive his teammate he gets a nice up close and person meeting with my chainsaw. Nothing is more sweet.

(Hipping it.) Without the chainsaw, the weapon is far less useful and we'd all be using the shotgun. Against more than one enemy at close range the lancer is almost useless. Which is why I carry the shotgun all the time.

Well listen, I don't use the chainsaw 24/7, so you won't have to worry too much about that. I will chainsaw if you don't pay attention...even if you're in front of me with the shotgun...harder to do when not host, but still.

If the HammerBurst is available, I will use it first. Next, I prefer to use the BoomShot, and third would be the Lancer. Of course, it depends on the situation: (the Lancer and the HammerBurst are useful in team fire situations, while the BoomShot is good when you are down a man or you can catch them by surprise). I like all the weapons and will use any weapon when I think it is appropriate (except the Boltok -- that gun is pretty useless online).

its definately satisfying to kill somebody from a far distance with the Boomshot....though it is a rarity that i accomplish it....when it does happen though, its really cool. Though i think for now, my favorite weapon to kill someone with is the pistol...i don't mean whipping them, i mean from far away and hear their head pop like a balloon.

Yeah shotguns are always a top favorite....the Gnasher is GoW is the best ive ever seen (when its on), the carnage is unmatched. I've started to switch to my shotgun at the start of every round; so that i can get positioned and hopefully get the drop on some unexpecting foe moving up the line....Chunky Smoothy anyone?

Thats a tough weapon to use...at least for me. I have a friend who isn't the greatest at Gears, but is awesome when he gets a hold of that boomshot.

Longshot. Active reload is overpowered with this weapon and so is melee.

Hammer Burst. People don't even know what the hell you killed them with. Perfect reload means you down fast. Across the map accuracy. If your team has the sniper rifle...you the second best at distance killing.

It's not used by many people. It's deceptively strong. It's not a starting weapon. It's just so fun to use.

My favorite has always been the shotgun, no matter what shooter it is. Shotgun is my all-time favorite. Sniper is right there in second, love those headshots.

The shotgun is the weapon of choice for GOW. The hammer of dawn should not be considered a "good" weapon between others becasue it has too many restrictions and limited usage. Plus only certain maps actually use its ablitity quite well.

The Torque bow is my second fav weapon n GOW. I'm finally getting the hang of using it escpecially during tense 2 vs. 1 situations. It packs a punch an the ammo is plentiful unlike the boom shot but this comparison can be arguable in some instances.

Next is the machine/lancechainsaw gun. A personal fav. Its my peanut butter and chocolate.

Favorite: Pistol
It has a high rate of fire, is accurate when shot from the hip, has the fastest melee, and a really quick reload. Not only does it look cool but it owns the shotgun and sniper rifle. It does what the Lancer is supposed to do, and it requires a lot of skill.

2nd: Shotgun
Why? Why not?! It feels very similar to the shotgun from HaloCE, plus it has an active reload and a regular melee attack... not some crazy chainsaw thing attatchement.

Favorite Pick-up: Hammer of Dawn
Sure, the torquebow is all powerful, and the boomshot is great for camping, but hte HoD is just plain fun. It is rather hard to use at medium ranges and requires teamwork- tho not teamkilling(i play with team damage). I never actually call this gun by its name but "Laser-from-space-gun". I think it suits it better. Too bad many of the maps it is on suck(rooftops, tyro station) on Fuel Depot it is great, hard to get fun.

The pistol is really friekin awsome. although i'd say i really prefer the sniper over anything. you can even beat most people up close with it (although pistol is a bit better for that). i love the melee on it (ever notice there is a blade on the butt end?). if you're half decent with it you can beat shotty people upclose with it; blind fire, roll whack (unless ur laggin').

The hammer burst could beat the chainsaw now that i think about it....more bullet dmg, shoot their chainsaw down, and some whacks...pow!

1 Hit Kill. Melee is just as fast/damaging as the Pistol, and it's usually left untouched since the majority don't seem to like it or aren't very good with it.
