fire wall problems

i have a wired connection iam running at least more than 20 megs download speed and sometimes i cant host a match .i have to go to the dashboard and test my connection so it can work.does anybody have the same problem?

first of all it's about upload speed. that's what's important for online play.
second, check your NAT status in the dashboard, it should be set to open.
if it's not, make sure you open the ports 88 udp and 3074 udp and tcp
in your modem/router.

thats the weird part i have to go to the dashboard and it will be fine but if i turn the xbox off and on again i have to do it over again

So do you have a router? I would recommend upgrading the firmware on any routers or hubs you're using.
