Would Every One Just Stop Complaining!!

Okay, it was okay at the start when there was a few complaints, but now i post a topic and the next day it's on page 4 cause theres a bunch of new Complaint posts.. FIRST of all, many people begged for this patch to come out soon.. They whined and wondered and asked when it was coming out. and now that it's out ALMOST every one starts complaining. Epic was following through with a bug fixing patch. They can't fix every thing in one patch. It's very hard. So Epic makes the patch to help out people, and everyone just starts complaining. It's not like anyof you are making the patch! just Don't post so much god damn complaint topics that are the exact same as almost all the others! They get it the first time! they can't fix anything RIGHT AWAY! so give it some time and please stop complaining. heck epic could of skipped this project and made another unreal. tourny/championship.

people begged for this patch cause it was gonna FIX things, not make it worse and that's why people complain. and i feel they have the right to do so.

I agree with the ranked thing. I like the nade fix.

What I don't like is the VGA fix isn't a fix but rather just changing what was broken.

Instead of choosing between (Gears of Tall and Thin) or (Gears of Short and Fat) I can now choose between (Gears of Tall and Thin) or (Gears of Jagged Edges Because Either AA Was Turned Off Or 480p Was Upscaled Instead Of Rendering At 1280x1024).

I don't call a lateral movement a patch, a fix, or anything desired. [Warning, extreme hyperbole ahead, but still befitting of the situation] That's a doctor walking into a patient's room, when the patient is about to undergo surgery to amputate the left arm, and saying, "Good news, you still need surgery, but we won't have to take the left arm any more!"

VGA is using a cable (there are some unofficial ones, but there is also an official one made by Microsoft) to connect your 360 to select HDTVs as well as computer monitors.

Basically, it is a very affordable way for people that don't own HDTVs to get HD gaming. 1280x720 is equivalent to the 360 standard of 720p resolution. Most games treat this as a literal equivalent, and on non-widescreen monitors the image is simply letterboxed into a widescreen picture with no distortion or loss in quality. Like watching most DVD movies on a normal TV.

Depending on the console settings, Gears was either over-letterboxing (squashing) or not letterboxing (stretching) the image it displayed via these VGA cables if they were on non-widescreen monitors. The patch was supposed to remove the over-letterboxing, and it did, but it also severly hurt the quality of the graphics in the process. So now you can play with the stretch problem or the uggo version instead of stretch versus squash.

When a big, experienced company like Epic royally screws the pooch by creating a lateral "fix" for a big rendering problem, then yeah, there are going to be a lot of really angry people. I mean, we waited nearly two months for the darn patch!

Look at it like this: You took your car to get fixed. The guy tells you, "yeah, dude. I'll get it back to you as soon as I can." Okay. You wait a month. Now, you are really irritated. You call the repair guy. He tells you, "Uh, yeah, dude. I sent it over to the transmission guy across the street. Um, he might not get to it before next year, cause he's going on vacation."

Now, you are steamed. Finally, after a week into the new year, you get your car back. Now instead of your car running poorly, it's leaking oil all over the place.

Wouldn't you be really mad at this point? Wouldn't you be complaining to the repair guy to fix the darn thing correctly? Yeah, I thought so.

$60 US for a game is a lot of money to some people. Cars, games, doesn't matter. When your hard-earned money gets "wasted" like this, people are going to complain - long and hard.

If I paid $60 because I knew I could play ranked games with my friends, then subsequently have that right taken away from me, then as a consumer I have every right to complain. I realize that you can't please everyone, but it's hypocritical of you to call out people who don't like this patch, especially if you were someone complaining before hand about friends playing together. And even if you weren't "complaining", if epic released a patch that removed one of your favorite features from the game (and it was hard enough as it was to play with friends), chances are you would complain too, so I don't want to hear it.

I wasn't complaining about anything before the patch came out. Did I think it needed some work? Did I think some things needed fixing? Of course I did, but I could say that about almost any game I play, but I didn't complain about it, and didn't post even post on here until the game came out. But if I feel me and my friends were wronged by this patch, then as a consumer I have every right to complain.

yeah guys.. i understand vga problem but still enough of it they'll fix it in time they can't just snap there fingers and it will happen. So please stop making new topics that are complaining about the same thing.. and the whole ranked thing and how people are saying its pointless now. really did you just get the game for ranked matches. i dont have live yet and i rented for a week cause i dint have enough money yet. I love it. I am buying it on the weekend. like i said before give it time stop complaining. It's not like epic was trying to ruin anything..
