On a random search for UC2 vids(ah, the sweet memories)...I found this. I was surprised when it went beyond the Arclite section, as that's when the vid I remember(I saw the one from an Xbox demo disc) ends! It goes on to do the cool voiceover/promo for Szaalor, Raptor, Lauren and Sapphire(*yawn*). I've never seen this until now.

In other random tidbits...my new sig at other forums has a link to a vid and basically curses everyone for being too damn close minded to give this game a chance. I actually do get rather angry just thinking about it.

*also, it would be nice if someone could rip the sound(I don't care what format...I'd worry about mp3 conversion later) from that...the whole "download from youtube" thing has never worked well for me, and it's such an annoying hassle anyway, when all they had to do was put a damn "download" button on that site like videogoogle had back in the early days of that.(god, Streaming video is just so stupid to me.)

Nice find, I even bookmarked that page for later. I wonder where that promo spot was shown, since I've never seen it before myself. Anyhow, I know which demo disk video you're talking about - I'll copy it to my PC later and post it.

Dude, I feel your anger towards other gamers for never giving this game a proper go. I still rest on the theory that gamers want simple FPS mechanics and nothing more. Anything that feels foreign to them never seems to get a proper chance. Gamers are always craving innovation too, which makes no sense.

Not all gamers. I'll take UC2 over an FPS anyday. In fact, FPS are crap to me now. I think UC2 and Twisted Metal 2 are the best shooters I've ever played(I never played Twisted Metal after #2). The Only time I think an FPS is cool is when they do a good job at making you feel like you actually are the person(Sort of like chronicles of riddick, Condemned, and poosible the upcoming Bioshock). And FPS is better for realistic shooter, which puzzles me because GRAW and R6:Vegas are supposed to be realistic, but they added 3rd person, which is why I won't buy them.

You guys are aware you can watch and download these in quicktime format from the official UC2 website, all this person has done is done is download them and edit them together.

ah...no quicktimePro. Yeah, I have just plain ol' borderline useless "regular" quicktime. I did a "view source" on the page but can't seem to get the vids that way either. Dealing with video on the net is always a damn pain...always a hassle. Nothing has ever gone smoothly, at least not for me. It was much easier when I just ran the sound from the demo disc into a mic input on an older comp with an audio record program, and got audio that way.

*I see they have vids for all the regular characters too...ohhh this is good stuff.

I use Quicktime Normal aswell what I do is:

1) Open the window with the quicktime movie imbedded in it

2) Using Opera web Browser I can find the address of the page which for Anubis is
http://www.unrealchampionship2.com/charvideos/anubis.html

3) Viewing the source I can see that it is looking for "anubis.mov" in the Body:

<PARAM name="SRC" VALUE="anubis.mov">

This means that it is looking in the charvideos folder for anubis.mov by altering the web address from anubis.html to anubis.mov I can download the Quicktime file, though I must warn you they are 20MB.

ohhhh thanks a billion for that tip. Odd thing here...some of the vids are only 3.3mb though, only Szalor so far is 20.7..but they're the same time, and at least appear to be the same quality...

I recall watching that a while back and just watched it again. He really covers the bread and butter during that vid.
