Me and my friend were discussing the GOW story, and he seems to think that RAAM is the leader of the Locusts, and that the lady talking in a few scenes is RAAM's voice. He also thinks that RAAM survived.
Meanwhile, I think the lady was just a random voice showing the Locusts' point of view, and that RAAM was just some sort of general or something who you killed at the end. I'm almost positive that my friend is wrong, but I'm not entirely sure if I'm right.
Could someone clear this up?

your friend is completely wrong but you are also wrong in sum spots too. For instance the lady voice is the girl you see in the helicopter in the cutscene on act I think 2 or 3 mayb 1 I forget. Also RAAM is a general that you kill at the end as like revenge for the lieutenent(cant spell it) and to be able to place the thing into the bombs in time and properly.

Not only is it not Anya, it doesnt sound like her. She wouldnt be speaking from the locust perspective. It probably is the locust queen or something of that sort.
Also, has anyone else notice that peoples "friends" are complete morons. Iv never heard a sentence begin with "My friend..." and end with a smart question/comment/statement.

That's because we're the smart ones, who actually make sense, and see other things about the game on the internet. The friends, who DON'T see things on the internet, base things off of "what I think."

No, i think the "older lady" who you hear at the end isn't part of the Locust, if that was true why would she be speaking english, but then u guys could say that they were putting it in our perspective, well then they could of done it with text at the buttom. So i believe the Lady you here is something bigger.
Also, RAAM isn't behind it, he is just some faceless leader of the Locust, you saw him for a total of like 3 minutes in that game.

RAAM is the main general of E-Day invasion. RAAM did not survive because he got pwned by us. RAAM in NO WAY sounds like a lady. That is just plain, well, for lack of a better word, retarded.

He is the general, but i don't think he is the head, unfortanelty i think he was a lacky, mostly like the guy from halo the floating ball. And RAAM did talk or groaned it didn't even come close to a older woman's voice. Tell your friend to lay down the smokes.

that girls voice is most definitly a locust queen or ruler because the same voice is used in MP when u lose or win on the locust side, and general raam didnt servive cause in that cut scene it looks like u chainsawed his face off so ur friend is crazy

The lady that speaks at the end is, for lack of a better description, the Locust Queen and it is her, I believe, that is on the reaver at the end. Raam was just one of the locust generals. As for her being able to speak english, incase you didn't notice, through out the entire game the locust speak english yelling things like "Grenade!" and "Hostiles" as well as the Boomer saying "Boom" before firing and things like that. So it is possible the queen could be speaking english.

Not to mention that RAAM says "Serve the queen" to his kryll shield.

It's all a matter of opinion. I personally think that the female voice is the hive Queen like figure while RAAM was her second hand man. Also, doesn't all caps on his name indicate him as some sort of experiment..? or some sort of label\title? I mean, why not Raam. Why is it specificly RAAM?

"General RAAM"
"Queen Lolwtfnooneknows!@!?"
SPOILERS-
And apparently there is another General you must face. Maybe in GoW2 You will have to fight him? Maybe you'll have to fight him -and- the Queen? Or maybe even, a prequile? (Lots of questions left unanswered.)
Either way, lots of people are stuck on that the woman talking -is- the Queen of the Locusts.
Whether she is the Queen by means of -finding- the locusts and controlling them through certain methods, or actually being the 100% natural born Queen is currently unkown.
All I know is, this game is compleatly badass, and the designing team did a great job with it. Props to you guys at Epic.

Lol, that was one of his arguments for thinking he was still alive.

Or perhaps high ranking officers, and/or royalty, wear similar attire, as a sign of status.

The female voice is the queen of the locust's, cause the locust's act as a "hive" or colonial society. and raam is a top general among the locust's. The question is, why did the locust's start the war, i personaly think it has some thing to do with the imulsion and how when the human started tapping into it is when the locust's started attacking, and it only makes sence cause the imulsion i located underground.

I would like to point out that a "Queen of Locusts" would have little trouble learning a language such as english with the collective knowledge gathered since "Emergence Day" They knew quite a bit about the surface before hand...Who's to say they didnt know english too?
