I've just bought a copy of unreal 2004 and everytime i play the game i get this critical error message:

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: GenuineIntel Unknown processor @ 2802 MHz with 1022MB RAM

Try installing the latest game patch, 3369. Its in my beginners thread near the top. (Beginners thread here (http://utforums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=531199))
I would also say theres a prob with that map DM-1on1-Spirit.myLevel
Take it out and try ut2004 again see if it crashes.

I thought 1on1-Spirit was a default level. :z

I've installed the latest patch, I've deleted the map as suggested, but it keeps coming up with the same critical error message regardless of which map I play.
Could it be the game or the computer? I've just bought a brand new pc with better specs than the recommended requirements. I dont know what else to do

uninstall the game, delete the game folder (do this manually after you uninstalled it), re-install the game.

can someone give me links to the websites for each mod included in the ece pack? and can i have links to the onslaught maps that are avilible online but the links are dead.

I just downloaded the demo to see if it i'd get the same critical error message and i did. Guess it must be the computer.

same i think my Ram is kinda broke or something cause i have 1024 ram and In the system error it says that i only have 248 ram :confused: thats
kinda weird
hope its my pc and not the game ;)

[Description]
This archive contains 2 .DLL files (core.dll and engine.dll) that contain native fixes for a server crashing exploit that is active in the cheating community.
[Requirements]
These dlls can only be used with Unreal Tournament 2004 version 3369 running on the Win32 platform. If you are not running v3369 you should upgrade at the as soon as possible then apply this fix. If you are on the Linux platform, you should by using the file: ut2004-lnxpatch3369-2.tar.bz2. Links to this file can be found in the UT2004 server admins list archive.
[Installation]
Copy the 2 .dll files from this archive to the \System directory of your 3369 install overwriting the previous versions.
