Technical Lancer Rifle Question

I am not sure if this question has been asked before, but I did attempt a search. I was curious to know a few things actually, but I'll ask this one as a test in case this is not the correct forum.

Can you "rev" the chainsaw attachment at anytime, or is the attack/animation restricted to when you are within close proximity to an enemy character?

This would be both a useful but cool feature. Thanks for the help or direction towarding finding an answer.

I would love to hear someones chainsaw rev, just imagine how scary it would be if you were playing against someone online and there close to you but you dont see them and they rev their chainsaw , you still dont see them and then they come up behind you and rip your flesh apart.I think that would be cool, I would love to do that to someone , make them panic and then get them off there game.

well being a melee im sure that you would be able to rev the chainsaw at anytime, or maybe the price of petrol is really high on sera so he can't afford to waste it by pointless revving

i hope you can rev up the chainsaws at any time so people can have chainsaw matches.

Sera has a gas problem, their is none, the cars drive on pig poop, you wouldnt want to walk down the streets, stinks like crap, due to the problem, cars will now run on burgerking frenchfrie greece, thats what powers the chainsaw gun, now you know

You can rev up the chainsaws, but it's very loud so it's not a good idea to rev your chainsaw untill you get right on top of someone.

yeah cliffy said u can, first u hole B to use the chainsaw, then RT to rev, its gonna be sick!
