I'm currently putting together a FAQ for UT2007. It's hard to find all the information in one place so I figured I'd put something together as I find the information. I've written it up on writely.com so that if there's anybody out there willing, and trustworthy I can put you down as a collaborator and you can edit the document as well.

the document is here: http://www.writely.com/View.aspx?docid=dcpmv6ff_1c7hdk5

I'm in the very first stages of things so there's not a whole lot on there, and the formatting still sucks. Most of the information came from the questions asked in this video: http://download.beyondunreal.com/fileworks.php/demos/beyondunreal_polgeinterview_e32006.mp4

So right now I'm looking for any comments on what I already have and suggestions on stuff you want in there.

i have some more informations example from the hoverborads but my english is not the best. sorry

Hoverboard: One has the possibility to connect of a vehicle of the own team by by a beam and be able can over the map to be pulled. That is possible also with air-based vehicles. One can be connected and release by the target area again.
stunts are also possible yes this is true

maybe an idea to make Wiki.Or see if you can let the powers at be append UnrealWiki.

Sure its mostly for modding, but there's room to expand.

This concerns me. What if one person takes longer than the other to load a map? I have to wait around for the people with slower computers to load the map? I think that's ridiculous.

yah indeed.

they should let the players with slower computers into the game earlier, to balance against the advantage people with fast computers have :p

Im sure Epic has found some "middleground" here, maybe a 0,5-2minute window or something.
It might sound a long time to wait but if this Map Streaming Tech Epic has talked about really works/gets properly implemented, it will let you use the extra time to chat and adjust the teams etc.
That way the wait might not feel that bad.

You have to admit it cant be fun or fair to always join the game 30s after everyone else?

Whats a couple of seconds wait if it makes the game fair (and that way, fun)for all?

So I'm paying $2000 for a new computer but I have to suffer and wait an extra minute or two for someone with a lesser system to wait? How is that fun or fair at all? I don't see the logic.
The world is not very complicated to you is it? ;)
I have a sneaking suspicion i could sit here all night typing without you ever seeing the logic regarding this, im out :)

from what I read the next level loads while you are still playing the previous level. Therefore no one needs to wait. Everyone will have loaded the next level before the first level is over. This makes it more even for everyone.

What? I had no idea UT 2007 was going to be able to predict the future.

Explains how Epic stole the SPMA from a game that was made a year or something after the ECE was released.

No, thats a common missconception, The server starts to load the next map AFTER the first map is over.
The new thing is that it wont "disconnect" the players during this loadingtime.
All players stays in some kind of lobby where they can Chat, Brag ;) or Switch teams if the previous map was uneven.

The idea of a wiki has been brought up before. I'm seriously considering it, tho I'd need to ask a few people first. Right now though a writely document will do just as well.
