Gears Of War Clans!!???

I would like to know if gow will have in game clans like battlefield 2 mc because that makes the game so much better instead of havin to set up clan matches on the internet. :confused:

Don't quote me, becuase I'm not certain. I hope there will be clan support. Clans are all about working together and being tactical, and GOW would be perfect with a clan feature.

Well supossedly they are working on something similiar to that idea. I dont know the exact details but it should be coming up with some kind of update (maybe the next one?).

Wow kid, would you STFU? I asked Mark in IRC a few weeks back and he said no, the game will not support clans. I think if the community asks enough, it could be released in an update, but that's unfounded.

I'm not going to fight for you guys to believe me over something so miniscule. If you don't want to go through the process of downloading the chat client, wait until the 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th of November when you get your copy, and see for yourselves.

I can also confirm as a witness that Mark said categorically that there will not be clan support in the initial release. It was on the day of the "big announcement" when he came into IRC.

Don't forget, implementing clans is no simple feat - you need to implement a back end to support it (databases and bandwidth) so - since this is 70% single player - they just don't have the time pre-release.

Also, don't forget this is only 4 players a side. How hard will it be for you to find 4 of your friends to play with? All I'm interested in is how lobbies and games will be handled - as long as we stick together at the end of the game that's cool.
