Im fairly new to the forums so sorry in advance

but can we get some info on bandwidth requirements for running/hosting games
since Prey came out with its high detail and gameplay, it has got me worried we wont get the same problem with gears of war.

so if a member of the staff can clear things up on bandwidth to host big games, small games etc would be great!

sorry in wrong section thou, cant find delete button :(

Just get a T1/T3 internet connection and you should be fine dude... unless you don't have one... if you have dsl greater than 256k you might not want to get a full game hosted... maybe like 3v3 or something..

I have dsl and host full 4vs4 games all the time , everyones ping stays around 123 and launches up to 999 if my sis goes on the computer at the same time as I am on xbox live , also I think my router is slowing down the connection.

Epic needs to make their own PODCAST, that would be awsome, because my questions never get answerd, they could take then off the forums and on the air, like bungie it doing, cliffy, mark, robbie, and rod. their on every podcast except their own! please?

It's never really a good idea to host any game on a cable connection, dsl has faster upload speeds (but slower d/l speeds) than cable.

Of course if you use T1 or T3 then if you don't host a server then that's a waste of a hell of a connection.

Yes, i also agree with both of you - i like to agree with things:D

If this game lags with my connection , considering the budget this game has i will be most dissapointed.

I would be very surprised as your hosting only eight people, it all depends on the servers if they are running right no one should have any problems.
