voice chat for system link on uc2

Hey just joined these forums glad to be part of community who loves the same game!

I need confirmation on whether VOICE CHAT works in system link or not.
I have the game and played it with some friends over friend and saw that if u push the up button on the directional pad you can enable voice chat for team or for all players.

I could NOT get it to work though. So, I need any of you who have the game to confirm after testing it before whether VOICE CHAT does work for system link or not. Thanks, for your input!

IT was supposed to, its says so on the box unless Im mistaken.So thats 2 saying it is supoorted.

Jus tlook at the back of the box, I belive it says it.

dude thanks for replying, but yes i've looked at the box and have TRIED PLAYING it witha friend over system link and we cannot get it to work, read my post!, I'm asking if someone can CONFIRM if they have succesfully done voice chat or not in system link, if i wanted to look at the back of the box which i did, i wouldn't have made a post

i'm talking about gameplay over SYSTEM LINK NOT XBOX LIVE

just want to make sure, because YES i'm having difficulty using the voice chat, i press the up and down directional pads to turn on "voice chat for team" or voice chat for all players and the other teamate with a headset that did the samething can't hear me

Yes, he works for epic games so I'd say he knows exactly what hes talking about. I've never used it over system link so I can't help, but if he says it works then it does.

could you care to explain to me in noob terms, how exactly you enable the voice chat for system link, whether it be only when ur on teams or anything like that?

like do u press the d pad right button? or does teh other person have to have it only on team chat or only on player chat like you do?

this question sounds stupid but i've spent hours upon hours fiddling with it with my buddies over system link, and i'm usually not noobish on things like this.

Wow, thats a new one for me. The chat has never worked in system link for me, and I have tried it countless times hopeing something wouls work. Is there something I need to do?

Make sure the team chat is set to the correct channel....with D-pad.

Each player has to have it right to work.

its obvious i can't get it to work, but joe must have and I want to know how he did it

btw: i've tried all of those tips that you menioned like d-pad..etc..
none of em work for me and my buddy testing it out, keep em coming though :)

um no my mic isn't broken, i talk on many different system link and xbox live games with my same mic, its definetly not broken

me and 3 of my friends played system link for about 6month on this game and we tried everything to get the voice chat to work but we had no success [face_confused]

If it does actually work can someone give me the excact details on wat i need to do to get it to work please.

Well, we did a ton of tests on the LAN to try to reproduce a rare crash and that was via system link. Maybe we disabled it after that.

What do I know, I just was the lead programmer ;)

Thanks, Joe, I knew I wasn't crazy after several attemtps with several friends trying to make the chat work.

It puzzles me as to HOW you guys could have released this game with SOOOOOOOOO many bugs! Blatantly obvious bugs that surface within 10-15 (and sometimes even LESS) minutes of gameplay.

Now, what's done is done, but I just hope EPIC doesn't abandon this franchise and releases a follow-up or even at least a "remix" of this game.

One can only hope.....
