Ok I have a;
Pentium III 1.0 GHz processor.
ATI Rage Pro (8 MB)
386 RAM
(Don't laugh, I totally ruined my AMD computer.)

So I ask if anyone has close to these specs and have UT99? And also if they still enjoy it. Since I can't play 2k4 anymore ([face_hypnotized] [face_sad] [face_worried] [face_cry]), I want to still play this game. I am getting tired of UC2 a bit, and also wondering if the community there is still hugh? Let me know. Also does the game have a product key/cd key needed to play online?

I'm still a UT '99 junkie myself and to answer your question... No, a CD key isn't required at all for this game - as far as I know anyway. I just re-installed the GOTY Edition the other day and everything works fine. Also, your computer should have plenty of juice to play this game.

I dont see why someone cant just copy their CD, zip it, send it to you on MSN/AIM or whatever and then you extract and reburn...

It's just unfortunate that many within the UT 99 community ONLY play Deck 16 and Facing Worlds. Not that those aren't great maps and a blast to play - but theirs also a plethora of others that are definitely worth the time as well.

they should make a Uc2 mod for UT99 and get sum of those maps in there.
(tempest is already in there admitidly)
