I knew the main reason we ( UCmod) could not get help was cause they planned on using the characters, and themes in later games.

I knew this cause Epic actually help out the UT2004 XMP team that brought U2's XMP to 2k4.

So I wondered why they would not help us out,,,and it makes sense....they're planning SOMETHING.

My like ulitame dream would be to map for UC3.

I'd like to be the guy bringing back what are now classic UC maps.

That way most of Epics map magicians can make new ones, and I can make old ones REALLY FAST.

Shoot IF I had access to Epic's meshes, I'd already have most of the DM maps out there, and mayube even a few CTF.

My plan is to make myself very appealsing.

They say if you can make maps, have good working knowledge of photoshop/texturing, and Maya/modeling, then you stand a great chance.

I am getting modeling under my belt VERY fast.I already can code very simple things. I'm in C++ this quarter, and hope to be MCUH stonger when finished.

I thought I stank at coding, but I was the first one done in class th eother day with corect code.I thought I'd be last cause it's all old dudes who seem to know what they are doing.....maybe I was wrong.

I get by ok now, but I wanna do thif for a living. I know Im talented enough 5 times over to make it musically.Thing is I have some issues with that lifestlye and do not want to expose myself to that stuff. I figure whatever is my destiny will play itself out.

I thought for years thats what Id do. I am professional level guitarist. I have had multiple students through the years.The main problem is that here in Atlanta there arent too many great musicains to play with. There is a good music scene here, but it;s not great for rock/ metal belive it or not.IF ur a rapper, or Dave Mattews wanna be you stand a chance.Mastadon is from here, and thet're so so, but they are metal.

Anyways all the metal dudes down here are freakin sweaty idots.Im more into meldy than the average head banger, and It's hard to find that correct balance.

They always say its really hard to make it in a band. Well Im here to tell you that about %80 of that equation is metting the right peole that you mesh wellw tih not only musically, but personally. Just think about those odds of finding four basically supercoool peole, who share your exact musical tastes.

I've benn trying to talk my freakin bombshell sister into writing Lyrics cause she can sing. She wont do it. IF she ever really comes around.....it might be hard to stop us.Thats a pretty big if though.

Hey man i see where you are coming from I use to play trombone, piano, set, and sax. I am the jazz kinda guy. So i did a few shows in new orleans. But it is very hard to find the people with the right quality that you can truly relate too. So the next best thing I am very good at is computer's. Now I wanna make games. I already have a good programming background, but I do want more. I wanna develop my artist skills. Maybe I should throw down on some artwork for ut. After all it is bundled with the game. Plus Maya isn't far off from 3d studio or 3d blender.

That's great that you guys are so talented with music. Sheesh, I've been wanting to start a band for ages, but never essentially found the right group of people to work with - even after endless searching.

You're absolutely right Shred, finding the people to mesh with is extremely difficult, and creative passions will always make individuals butt heads more often than not.

I've been singing for years and dabbled in Piano / Keyboard as well, and always wanted to pursue my voice talent. Even despite being able to sing, my stage fright is my confidence killer.
