today i was playing team deathmatch...and there were 2 okay people..and 2 godlike people
so instead of making the teams even and fair and fun...the wost was a whore and said..godlike players vs u guys..because the godlike players were in teh same clan...
so my team (the sucky team) was being owned..and the other team was smack talking...OF COURSE YOUR GOING TO WIN *!
i think more people would playthis game if some of the people on here weren't total *... about half of the games i play people complain about how nobody plays unreal...but then in a team game the same people *****ing about how nobody plays it...makes the teams so uneven...and so unfun for the new players that i didn't even want to playt unreal anymore ...if that was my first day and that happened to me..i would never play this game..ever ...again

I'm sorry to hear about your online experience man. Truthfully, I've found myself in a few similar situations - being stuck on a less-skillful team with a Novice player, simply to get owned by two Masterfuls. You're absolutely right that more experienced players should see the obvious mis-match, bestow the benefit of the doubt, and for the sake of everyone - even-up the teams.
After all, it would make the whole experience much more enjoyable and unpredictable. Not to mention, the more skillful players could give a few pointers to the up-and-coming gamers, instead of trash talking like a bunch of arrogant buffoons. Personally, any time I see teams uneven, I make every effort to balance them out, or possibly switch if there's too many players on one specific team (the same goes for any online game).
Anyhow, it's truly unfortunate that our community is filled with so many nincompoops (that's being nice), because the egos among many of these individuals prevents me from playing UC2 online most-days (sad, but true). Plus, I never bother wearing a stupid head-set. I'd suggest making an effort to find some reall cool people to play with, that'll undoubtedly make your experience more fun.
My Gamertag is... snoogans460

[face_thinking] I find this to be.....Pointless. Look buddy there are other servers out there that you can join or host your own were a clan and we like to play on the same team. Don't think we haven't played agenst each other becuse we have. We have a team A and team B and we have fun macths every now and then. Don't like it then just leave the server why would you wasit every ones time with this?[face_tired]

THe fact of the matter is, most XBL gamers don't give two $hits about being "fair", or competitive. They just wanna win and belive they're "the best" at the game.
Thats why when I want to have a truly competitve game that matters to me, I go play on PC, and feel just fine with it, you may run into the team thing...but its cause most people dont realize there are unbalanced teams when theres like 16 players in a game.Someone will go: "TEAMS!!!" then of couse, someone WILL change to balance teams for the good of the game.

Hmmmm...So that's what you think well i can't say anything to that becuse thats what you think and it could be true or not. Now frist off don't you think clans would enjoy playing on the same team??
Well Im in one of the largest clans in 2k4, and that just not an option most of the time.We actually enjoy playing AGAINST one another more than against others.....guess why...thers actually competition.
Most XBL players think that they're competitive, but they're not, they just wanna win.BIGGG difference. It can be hard to understand this for some of you guys until you experince gamers with TRUE edicut first hand.If all you know is XBL, than you'd find it hard to agrree.
If you stop and REALLY think about it, it's kinda chilish to be that way.
I can understand wanting to team up with your buddies etc, but ALL THE TIME???
Just remember this: ITs a GAME, its meant to have fun with.If you care about the life span of the game you enjoy, you'll promote others, besides yourself, having fun.I almost NEVER go full force on people.IT just would'nt be fun then for me or them. Its' too easy to do that.I pride myself on holding back, while still maintaing a good score, and allowing others to enjoy themselves.
Example:
I kill lets say oh, Snoogans (good friend just an example), then I kill him again, and again...he keeps gunning for me specifically......well I'd let him get me, and make it seem legit...that way he's like "haha I got him"
too many gamers are selfish.
There comes a point when the bragging right really are stupid, and everyone just wants to have fun...ya know.
Check this out:
I saw a news report tonight about child predators on XBL.....guess what they said??FOR REAL NO LIE I SWEAR....channel 2 WSB here in Atlanta 11:00 news not even an hour ago.
"Predators go where the children are"
The coupe de grace:
What the real deal is most clans feel insecure without they're buddy on thier back...its about trust....but of your SOOOO good, then any teamate will do....IMO!

i try sooo hard to be a fair player...but with each passing day i find the only way to be a fair player is to use cheap moves...i would host my own server but people complain about that...i try not to complain..but sometimes i get so frustrated that i like to complain ...the only reason i dont play team games is because of the whole uneven things..but i always host a dedicated server for team games..
and i wasn't talking about any HB players..u guys are nomally pretty fair i was talking about antman and curtiscal

Shred, I was going to mention this earlier myself. It's nice to have people such as yourself who are willing to take the time out and help others along the way - like you did for me in UT2004.
Also, whenever I find myself playing against noobs on UC2, I never play full throttle. Otherwise, they'll simply quit - happens all the time. You're also one hundred percent correct when saying there's a difference between winning and being competitive.
Heck, lately I've been enjoying PC gaming more as well. Plus, bragging is pretty pointless. Take for example that Fatal1ty character who wins all those tournaments. Now, I'll give this guy credit for being a great PC player, however, I can easily see through the guy and read his true character.
He doesn't care about anyone but himself and winning is all that matters - his eyes say everything. I can't stand people that are only looking to find prominence in the sight of others. Who cares, it's all about having fun. Another reason why I've been playing 25 to Life on Xbox this past week.

thank you ...
if all your godlike players out there are so good..why are u so scared to leave your clan mates and actually have a close game where the skill is even!...it would make this game 1000 times more fun..and today really pissed me off when the host made the level difference in teams..i didn't want to play the game anymore....after that i played halo for an hour then realized how gay it is...REGARDLESS
if u win against someone u know is not as good as u..its not the same as winning a close game of even skill...
winning with uneven teams is like playing vs novice bots....un satisfying
besides half the time when i make a survival game (the rare time i play on my host) some godlikeplayer comes in and owns and makes it not fun
and i think this game would be 10000 times funner if people were competative and didn't care so much about winning...then i dont think whoring certain adrenaline moves would be such an issue..because there would be more people to gang up on the guy..
i dont mean to compare this game to halo(i die inside when i do) but the group i play with on halo..tdc (www.tdchalo.com)...they are competative...they always make sure the teams are fair during team games with non clan members...they dont care about rank...and even though i am not as good as them..its nice to know that the teams are fair..and when u win..u actualy earned the win
i think the only good clan in this game is a clan that accepts good members..but actually plays with people who arn't as good

Shred is completly right. I played Xbox Live from it's launch right up to the HUGE dissapointment of Halo 2. In that time I noticed the whole atmosphere and community attitude is much more childish on Xbox Live. You get these people in clans that just idle in a room with stacked teams and as soon as one guy goes in there they jump them. Yeah! lets go pwn some noobs!
PC community is for adults, consoles are for kids. No offense to anyone. Leave it at that.

This sort of thing happens all the time, and it is bull. But adding to the topic, I hate it when someone has a super laggy server, no one can hardly move, this guy is killing the entire room, trash talking like someone actually has a chance, and think ing he is good.
Then, in another server, he gets murdered, and stand no chance. How about that?
legacy-Junior
01-27-2006, 03:24 PM
There are two sides to this. One is get better so you can hold your own in clan servers and the other is clans should be willing to make even teams. Personally i hate absolute rape so i go for even teams but at the same time you should know what you are gettin into when you see everyone with B4M or HB or whatever clans still plays now by their names. Ask for even teams and if they don't leave the server if its that much of a missmatch. Eventually when no one joins their servers they wont stack teams. Or just tough it out and try to step your game up. Its all up to you.

Maybe I do. You see....To anyone who had complaints about BPM "stacking teams", BPM had only 4 members. Just about the max that can fit on one team. We know very well how to play as a team, if we wanted to go against eachother, we would create private matches simply for practice. Going against eachother, while playing with some random players is pointless. Cause while we played as a team, we knew what to expect from eachother, and frankly we cancelled eachother out during those games.
If anyone on the opposing team was not comfortable playing with random people, we always asked if they want to start it, or if they have anyone else they're thinking about inviting to even up the "skill" level. That is exactly what RiP & DBZ have done when playing with us. And those were some amazing matches regardless of the outcome. So why don't you boys quit whining about splitting clan members to even team matches. If they are up for it, good for them. If they are not, sh*t happens and you might as well find yourselves a few good men and amp up your game.
