Newbie Frustration

Is it me, or are there hundreds of players out there who are close to unstoppable? Now, I've only been playing this game for 3 days or so, but is there something I'm missing? I'm gettin gused to melee and reflecting, and I can CDG pretty well, and I never move in straight lines or stay in place. Yet, I haven't won a single match. Maybe I just need practice, but I feel like I'm missing something (maybe just skill?).

i sucked when i first got the game but you just gotta keep practicing and maybe you havent figured out the best character for yourself

yeah i was wondering also about who i was using. I either use anubis or judas. but i'm still figuring out what's best for me.

hah, i got it. i wasn't using lockon during melee at all. man does that help! i was wondering how people could so easily aim at their jump attacks.

Learn new tactics and Learn to use guns. any gun will stop out a Melee whore ne day. IMO the biorifle is the anti-melee weapon. i also suggest the rockets becuz they are effective and nooby friendly.

the obvious tactics w/ anubis and judus are the uses of EB(energy burst) and VC(vampire cloud). If u want to do some serious damage, and not use guns will at it, lock on to the enemy and sword dash at them, and as u hit them, use EB or VC to get extra damage done to them on top of ur dash. or if u freeze someone and dont think u can pull of a cdg in time, get in front of them and do a heavy attack, and before or during the attack, use EB or VC.

Those "tactics" are considered to be cheap and n00bish. But they are quite effektive.

But you better learn to use a gun because they are more powerfull than melee.

At this point in time the right way seems to be playing for fun and the wrong way is playing for stats.

1)Freeze ppl
2)Put your sniper out and put a bullet through their head :D
(a guy named quickmorrowind does this all the time with sapphire her ice burst)

haha i play or played with morrowind all the time. Never seen him do that before must have just picked it up. None of his tricks work on me though. I'd rather ice burst and goop though. You never miss where as sometimes you miss a head shot cause you are aiming fast.


Oh and Blacknight by playing the "right" way I ment playing so that you don't get owned every three seconds. You can play for fun, I do to I think most people do actually, but in the process of having your fun if you are getting owned constantly then you are obviously doing something wrong. You are free to play however you want to play I mean its your game do as you wish but don't complain when you are raped by someone who knows what they are doing and you are still newbing it up.

I'd recommend not getting discouraged. Granted, it does suck to get spanked, but you must realize that this game takes time to get good at. Most shooters don't take long to get your skills towards the top, but UC2 is a whole different story. Learnig the in's and out's takes a while. Each character is unique and the adrenaline abilities take a while to understand completely. Practice, practice, practice. The more you play and the better the competition, you'll find yourself adapting in no-time. As long as you have the patience of course.

yea u do have to work at the game alot in order to get good at it,also u have to learn how to use the weapons alot and be good with them.u cant allways use melee :), try some rockets or bio there good.the grenade is not that bad so is the shock. if u ever need some help or practice i can teach u what i know.also u have to play with dif people,see i right now have used 4 of them,u have to practice and learn what one is the best for u to use and wich one can u work with the best.im learning the hard way to play lol.

Practice by yourself (no bots or anything) combining adrenaline and wall jumping and other acrobatics. The more you try, the betteryou'll get.

I think if you just keep playing the game even though
it is hard at first. That's how I started first. I am playing
Torgr now, and as you unlock characters one by one, it gets harder. At the same time, you get better and better at it.
Do you have the Strategy Guide with you?

Well, almost everyone has said what needs to be said, and most repeated.
But anyway, you cant play the game for 3 days and expect to be a great player.
This is a hardcore game thats not for everyone, but can be a heck of alot of fun if you practice.

did you beat the game ? try wining the story mode at a hard level.

PRACTICE. pick the controller up again and again. Beat challenges and story and tournaments DON"T USE cheats. That is the c word don't say it or think it.
