Shock Rfile and Ethereal

The shock rifle gun seems to be the weapon of choice now days. I have noticed that pretty much everyone uses the shock rifle. Another thing that bother me is that all the necris players tend to use ethereal a lot (They can still be killed but they got a litle advantage). I feel like using warrior spirit and blow then apart (it's only fair).

Should warrior spirit be allowed if the other person uses ethereal ?

In my opinion, every single Adrenaline should be able to be used. The only things I'm against are...

-online glitches that weren't planned unlike Adren advantages
-EMP Combo ... the only adren. use I'm against
-Host Sniping and Host rejecting

I never uderstood the host sniping thing but whatever.

All I can say is warrior Spirit and Shock is my #1 combo.You will die.

Use whatever you need to stay alive. Adrenaline abilities are what makes this game so deep. If someone turns on so-and-so ability, counter that move with another tactic of yours. All is fair in Love... er,and War.

Whats the EMP combo?...the only thing that annoys me is Energy burst but I get used to it after a while.

Ive noticed that prety much everyone uses shock and rockets..I dont blame em though they are huge ownage guns..but its exactly that, that led me to master other guns. I dont like to follow the majority. And yes i think that WS only highlights the ethereal person..not the actual one, which is prety lame..

Yea....I don't like to blend in with the crowd. However, I realizing that many people have turned to Brock as thier main character. Ever since I first started this game back when it was released, Brock was my one & only choice. And the so-called trend was Malcom/Sapphire were the most over used characters. Then it was Sobek/Apophis (for obvious reasons)...and now it's Brock? Not to mention the shock rifle was also overused as much as the rocket was. But that doesn't seem to change. I want to come back to UC2, but there won't be much of a variety to see in online gameplay. So in other words....why bother.

And to Acid, is your clan still together? As I'm curious if to you'll be sticking up a dedicated server in UT2K7, GoW, etc, in the future.

lol....with the steep prices of the Xbox 360....I doubt I can continue with a dedicated server. And we are still waiting for a worthwhile game to come back together again.

EMP Combo only works with the Rockets and RipJack I believe. You shoot and then when it's right in front of the target, activate EMP and it'll make the projectile explode and it's a really strong splash damage.

Works with any Explosive weapon, except for the flaks' primary.

I agree, I enjoy doing my own thing as well. Rockets are fun, but I enjoy the Flak and Rip and Nade Launcher even more most days.

I don't like the shock rifle that much, I mostly used the sniper but always with the rocket launcher [face_wink]

yeah this game sucks online. no one would even think about spamming primary's on Lan games. Shock on lan can't be used as a main weapon. A Flak user always beats a shock user on lan. and the flak is nerfed

snipe definately owns shock. snipe is a good weapon, but really bored me. fighting with it and against it got boring. the only good thing was headshot. being headshotted was as good as headshotting someone imo.

brock was a good character. the only person to ever try convince me to change to brock was riddled, when i came back to the game. riddled tought me quite a few things with him. brock had the next best movement to malcolm and raidan imo. raidan was the best though.

Damn, I missed experiencing the Demo days in all their glory. Sure, I played the demo online a few times after receiving my OXM disc, but there were so many other fantastic titles released around that time, that UC2 didn't get my full attention until a few weeks after the final product hit store shelves. Funny thing is though, I have 6 or 7 UC2 demo lying around in my collection. I bought them for like a buck a piece off Ebay simply for the trading cards.

i used to rape with that gun. only gravity and peace used to get past me on viperpit. i always got headshots cus the aiming was so much easier. (set it to full, was perfect to me)

The shock rifle is the cheapest weapon in the game in my opinion. The main tactic is just run away from the guy your facing but just spam him with shock combos (well thats what 90% of people do)

Ethereal is easy to see through because most people stay in the same path as they would normally
e.g: running in the middle of one of the bridges on azure
There either on the lrft of the ghost or the right(simple)
