OK I have had thie dream for a long old time.

That a bunch of people from these boards get toghther for ong Big nasty game.

I can make a dedi at another PC than my own: next door though.

The thing is I can make it to where we have a map vote and can go from CTF to DM really fast and there are ZERO UT2004 server that do this for some reason, but it's very easy to do.

PLEASE PLEASE POST IF YOU HAVE UT2004 INSTALLED ON YOUR PC!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok I thought about tis, and I think the best thing overall forr everyone id going to be for me not to host server, but to find us several we can choose from.I was thinking I can find the servers then list them here, and people can go to them individually on their on time, and figure out which ones are best for them speedwise.I really dont wanna hear anyone conplain about their ping, cause I'll play up 120 ping, which is really high.

So Im gonna scout out a couple of CTF and DM servers, unless you guys wanna try me hosting a game.The only real benefit in that is I can set it up forr easy CTF to DM switching chosen by the players.ITs a majority vote thing.

SO I'll get on top of looking for a few good servers and I'll list the Ip's here and instructions on how to add them to your favs, and to open the servers from their IP addresses.

best thing to do is try to find a few chicago servers. Those seem to be the best pings for everyone east and west. Most people usually ping around 30-40 to them and the highest Ive seen is like 70...

I know of a ton of servers, but most have UTcomp and I know how much you hate UTcomp shred ;)

I count 13 so far, I more person for 7 v7 or we can do 5v5 with certain player taking breaks and stuff.

I like the 5v5 idea cause I get up alot when I play.

Ive been playing some Insta CTF if your not too opposed to that.

It can be quite fun.

I can coverr and boost you as you flag run...no guaranterr of win though, Insta can be tough stuff on CTF sometimes.

Shred, is your server back in business? Also, have you signed up with X-Fire yet? It's a gaming service that let's you monitor your games played, while keeping track of friends at the same time. I ran into a few buddies of mine whom I used to work at a motorcycle dealership with, and they gave me the low-down on this X-Fire business. It's pretty cool.

I've known about ti for quite sometime.

My clan demanded use of it when we were more active.I was like screw that.Some were kicked from the clan for not using it, but not I.

I try to not get tooo bogged down with that type thing.Takes away the fun IMO.Xfire seems to be more about hours and stuff.

I can find gg's just fine, and hey IMO theres always MSN.


On the server: Unfortuanlty it's gone forever I think.

I was WAYYYYYY lucky to get ne for like a year and ahalf entirly FREE.

I have a great friend who in UT who has his own server company. He was gonna do game servers and such, but I think went for other types, bigger money etc etc.

SO eventually he needed the bandwidth for paying customers.

I had to give it up, he also had one of his own that was one of the games best known servers....he had to take it down too.

HE hated it about as much as I did, but $ talks.

I'll have one again one day.

Shoot as soon as I get this PC mailed to me, I'll be running a dedi all the time, thats all the PC will be for.

When that is I dunno.

I wish I stil had it. THe main thing for me was a place to have my maps playabe for people, but I know a server I can get them added to. It is 32 player though, and true FFA "noob stuff/not" ahem.

So if and when I get another I promise it wil be no secret...lol
