I revised her some and made her look more consistent with the original I fell.It's still a repaint of a 2k4 model.I just justifiy that in her description that she's a production model, not a prototype such as the "original" Devastation.
She'll more than likeley be packaged with the UC2 mod for UT2004.

Well I love the Cybernetics and Automatons alot, so count on as many as I can handle repainting.Our Raptor looks pretty nasty.He still needs animation on his dreads, and his textures is a little cartooish looking but other than that he looks great.We just gotta make the orange look like rusted metal and not magic markers.It'll be fixed soon enough.

Theres a UC2 mod for UT2004 in the works? I want links!!! Ive been wanting a PC port of this game for ages now but have pretty much accepted the fact that its not gonna happen.

I made a Syzygy thats a cross of sorts between the UC2 "rusty Liandri" version. and the UC1/UT2003-4 "Automaton YellowJacket" stlye.

awesome to hear what you guys are doing, really looking forward to it.
So let me get this straight, you used cloneXB to get the files onto your PC from the DVD, then what did you use to crack the texture files and all that since they were in a different format?
This all came to me really last night, I wanted to port over the maps from UC2 to regular UT2004 and just put good weapon placements and alter the maps a bit for 2k4 play... There are like 4 or 5 maps that would be great for Pub / competitive 4v4 TDM play in there. Deadbolt being one of them. I just didnt know how to access the files...
Also, are you making regular 2k4 versions of the maps as well? or do you think I could snag those already created maps from UC2 and just add in a couple things. any chance I could see some preliminary versions of the maps in 2k4 without needing the UC2 mod youve worked on?
Im in the competitive 2k4 scene and just want some new maps. Ive been at the top tier of the game since UT99 and am fairly well known.

DM-Morbias3(in worx)-will be smaller than orignal UC2 version, more lik 99 but with the extra UC2 areas and flare.
I made all those.
Um CTF- so far only Judgement.I am gonna try to do one, but I am a DM player almost exclusivly.This goes for 2k4 as well as UC2.SO I tend to want to make DM maps so I can play them,and I think Im better at them cause thats what I know best.

Zerk, its the style of play and in a multiplayer form is what theyre going for. If I want to play the single player, Ill just play that on my xbox.
kudos to them for doing what theyve done. If you want any help on collaberating any regular 2k4 things, Ill be more then welcome to help out.
So maybe I wasnt clear before ShredPrince, but are any of the other maps available for download yet for just UT2k4 as it is? or just deadbolt?
I see Horizon and Praxis in the SS's, but no meshes yet? or are they done? I honestly dont think you should do another Morbias... its been done so many times now. Unreal 1, UT99, Ut2k3/4... Id rather you put out another map instead.
Also are you just making these maps from scratch with the texture packages or loading up the map somehow with unrealed2x? Just curious how youre doing it all... Id love to get into/better at mapping and this might just be the motivation I have to do it...

Well we are having to make the meshes from scratch.The textures we extracted using special Xboxes(ahem).Now that only gives the bas .dds files really.Any immulsive or animatied shaders have to be constructed.Basicaly no materials at all.WE have alot of the .U files decoded and things of that nature.
The main thing we dont not have is meshes.THose are on the stove right now.Sonn very soon we'll have the Praxis theme done, then on to other Themes.Thats our idea of how to tackle as many maps as possible.
To answer the question, we are using regualr old UT2004 ediotr.Most of the stuff is from scratch, but we have some of UC2's native stuff at our disposal.

ok so I just loaded up Deadbolt of yours (looks like someone else posted it on gamespot besides you and is trying to take credit for it) wasnt sure if it was a different remake, but its EXACTLY the same - unless you posted it under a name Corey as well...)
Heres a few comments I have with Deadbolt (its beautiful thats for sure)
Adrenaline:
Too much adrenaline. You have that 100 super adrenaline which is bad ass, but you gotta remember, for every kill you get, you have an extra 5 adrenaline, not to mention double kills, killing sprees, etc giving more). I would take a fair amount of it out.
Health:
The 5 health vials should just stand up straight so you can see them easier. Just makes the map look cleaner. I didnt really pay attention to how much health there was layed out in the map, or maybe I didnt notice much at all, so maybe more needs to be added, or just find new places for them.
Weapons:
Too many weapons in there as well. The grenade launcher is pretty sweet, but the spider mines arent needed. Youve just got an over abundance of guns on the map. Also maybe go through your weapon placement a bit as well. Is that death orb considered a super weapon? So it could be removed with the nosuperweapons mutator?
Powerups:
While I love UT99, its probably best to stick with the armor formula they have as it is. Just go with 50 and 100. Find new spots for them as well. I love the jump boots in there, decent spot for them, but maybe there is a better place for them? The keg o health and the amp are perfect. The invis could stay or go, Im pretty impartial to that,
However having that invis right there grabbing that amp could be a little too powerful, plus the 100 armor right there. Talk about a killing machine...
Would you mind if I took a few stabs on my own to play with the map and maybe make it work a little better in a competitive sense?

I fyou want to help out, pick a map from UC2 and recreate it from UC2.IFits good enough Ill pass you the testures and admint you as a mod memeber.The Deadbolt map is alot figgerent now.I also am quite aware of all the wild pick up schemes and things that can occur.Its been online for at least 6 months and theres never any problem really.
Think about it...you get 5 adren each kill right....and the Invis just maxes you to 100 and does the adren combo for you essential;y, and the super adren rearely really eqalus 100.Alot of times it's just like 2...LOL
Trust it plays fine with only very few players.
Though I have changed things in it, but the weapon placement is the same.I did'n t want the mine layer, but felt meh why not, someone will enjoy it, so...and its not overpowered on that map.
Find a map and make it and let me see some of your work.
YEah I submitted Deadbolt to gamespot I belive.
I dar some fool to try to steal Deadbolt, everyone knows I made the 2k4 version.

Oh yeah I did remove all UT99 pickup from it too.
Even the jump Boots....they suked IMO on that map.

ok, so told ya I was gonna work on some stuff and see what you thought. Anyways, heres a few shots of DM-Undertow Im working on. Only worked on it for about a week now and this room is pretty much done, architecture wise. Still need to get the correct textures (which I dont have all of them yet) and static meshes (again dont have yet), do some more lighting and other odds and which I can deal with later. I think those pillars are actually static meshes as well since I see them throughout the level, but for now I just made them by hand for the experience of doing it and learning UED. Im still brand new to UED but I think Ive done pretty well with it for only using it for a little over a week or two and being brand new to mapping.

Great work on that Undertow Map Condiment King! You and Shred should get together and work on some creations together - or at least provide tips when needed. Keep up the fantastic work fellas! I can;t wait for this UC2 conversion - it'll give me one more reason to pick-up an Alienware [face_drooling] Actually, it'll probably be a while before that happens - but a man can dream.

I asked Condimet to do some CTF mappage for us, and to hold off on Undertow cause we actually have a start on it, but can use his part he built.
So we should hear an update from him soon on a CTF map from UC2.

Awesome! I swear that one of these days - when other projects are taken care of and I actually find some time to really dedicate - I'm all about learning the Unreal Editor. It's just that I know it's going to be a while before this actually comes into fruition.

It's really supposed to be a good bit different.Supposedly the engine has Maya type funtionality, which means it's gonna be a real beast.
If it is what it sounds like, most of the maps will be made more from a 3D model rather thatn BSP brushes, and CSG operations.
There will probably be like on big box with a bazillion meshes in it.

Yo Condiment, we are still gonna get Meshes from UC2oo4, but I am trying to make some of my own too for practice and if we need more than they can provide.
Since we are not a total conversion we have alot more freedom and can get more done.
I talked with Mons, and he said he'll make us meshes for allowance to inculude SLIGHTLY modified versions of our maps for there TC, but only if we get what we need.
So heres my first mesh ever, Stilla WIP, I am almost happy with the verticies, then all I gotta do is map UV's to it and it's in game for us to use.

I made massive progress on my skills and understanding in Maya last Night.
I am gonna try to Finalize the first one I posted the Screenie of, really it just need texture mapping.
