I just can't find it in me to play anymore, at least online that is.

I have a TOO good of an experinence offline with friends to ever truly enjoy the online aspects of this game again.

Everytime I borrow my buddies Xbox, it's the same thing....just some sort of atitiude somewhere.

I never run into that on 2k4, adn Im getting a little sick of it as well, cause either there is no competition or I'm cheating.

With all that said...you might see me online maybe once or twice more in the nex 6 months, after that the account is done, and so am I with XBL forever!!

Unless UT07 is a killer ONLINE ap, for 360, which I doubt.

I leave beliveing fully that I was always the best Devastation in the game...especially in the early days...I used to put the definition into her name.

Well, that's sucks to see ya go big guy - but I fully understand where you're coming from. At least you'll remain on these boards, and we'll always have UT 2004 to play from time to time. I agree that PC gaming seems a little bit more lighthearted compared to Consoles. There's too many winy brats and inflated egos playing online in UC2.

Personally, I won't ever let this game go completely - it's just too much fun. I'm an Unreal junkie that continues to need my Unreal fix somewhere - and this just happens to be my favorite Unreal game (right alongside the original Unreal Tournament). Sure, I have a ton of online compatible games, but none of them can hold a candle to UC2.

I would play system link - that is, if I actually had friends. Friends that play video games at least.

I cant do anything to them on 99.We used to lan at one of our buddies house before he moved away for a job.Thats one of the first wyas I was exposed to 99.We all had PC's that could run it too, that helped.UT03 was out at the time, and I begged them toplay it, but they hated it.

One guy in particular, the person to first call himself Shred (Chris), is the mian one.

He gives me hell about certain ways of playing and stuff, and somehwat influences my opinions overall.

HE never dodges or anything really...sometimes...but he just zaps your ass no matter what.There is a catch though......InstaGib...You take him outa that, or put him in a map with no Sniper and hes beatable.

I've been beaten by him in a 30 kill insta match within 30 seconds...its sick.

Any way....a book....these guys say I'll return more to my more estute playing styles if I leave UC2 alone online.

Yep, everything you mentioned sounds like it makes sense. Just listen to what your heart is tellin' ya, and if it's time to move on - then so be it. Sometimes you just gotta' stick with what you know best. I love being a hard-core gamer (and Unreal player) myself, but also realize it's just for fun.

Some of these guys are just way too into the whole experience, both PC and Consoles. Now, I'm not going to judge anyone if they feel like playing 8 hours a day, but some of these guys take all the fun out of these games. To them, it's like life or death. Gimme a break, we're playing interactive video games. At the end of the day, our time spent with controller in hand is for mere entertainment purposes only.

Nobody accomplishes jack and the productivity in our lives doesn't improve because we won a few matches online. That's another reason why I laugh at some of these guys for playing video games full-time. Yes, there's people in every Unreal game that are addicted. Crazy I tell ya.

well i hate the canister thingy, flak is too easy to reject, i would love to try out the ol' ripper from ut99 but shock has been my fav and rocket looks pretty good too. Just that im not too used to sniping right now so i might hold the sniper rifle for a while, but thx anyways. Btw... my friend is the one who has the xbox and we play this game sometime and i wanna know what guns are used over ur head.. i never got to figure that out

Does anyone ever use the Sniper Secondary - especially online? Man, if there's one weapon I rarely use, it's gotta be the Sniper Rifle. It's way too difficult to really get a clean shot when everyone is moving so quickly.

Side note on Metroid PRime 2:

I am OLD school Metroid fan.Super being the best, and one of those great games that will always rule, and stands the test of time pretty well.

I hated Metroid Prime.When I played the demo for MP2 a year or so ago, I was like "wow this is beautiful"

I swear, that game has to be probably the best looking game on a console to date.The graphics are on par with 360 IMO...I mean and thats w/o HD.You can hook it up, and it does support progressive scan.

If you have some liquid cash go get urself a Gamecude USED at like EB or Gamestop...they're like $30 now.

The game maybe like $20

I forever plan to stay connected to Xbox Live somehow. These past three and a half years have been lots o' fun. I mean, as long as a broadbrand service is running through my home, what's an extra $50 bucks a year (or the price of one game)? It's reasonable, even if you don't play it much. Yeah the staying power of the game definatly wains over time.

My buddy I play with alot equates the game to DBZ Tenkachi Budokai.Fun,pretty, dazzling, but unbalanced and boring after the novelty wears off.

We still play UC1 at times....welll it's become the old fav now.When we play UC2 we both ust ge bored with it really fast and it not very fun.When we turn on UC1 the room gets loud, and we get in trouble from the wife from waking up his baby from yelling so loud with "ohhs and ahhs".When UC1 is in there the time runs out on the match cause we stop to hit the bowl it so dang boring.

Back in UC1 I never talked with anyone because I was unable to use the communicator. I used to play with the PS controller and the so-called "X-Connection" (PS-Xbox adapter) did not have a slot available for the memory card/communicator.
