Whew. I haven't been around much the past week, and here's partly why. Instead of focusing my attention towards fragging on UC2, I've decided to pick-up a few new toys. Yikes, looks like I won't be consolidating all of my credit card bills after all.[face_hypnotized]

Anyhow, I picked-up the MAME Cabinet from some dude here in Milwaukee that builds them - and it replicates the arcade feel with over 4500 games. A perfect addition to any home.

Also, I scooped-up the X-Men 4-Player Arcade Cabinet from some kid here in Milwaukee for $450 bones. Heck, I've seen the exact same Cabinet fetchin' for a solid grand on Ebay. Even still, that thing can only fit in my garage because of its girth.

Finally, I just got back from Michigan last night after finding a genuine RoadBlasters Cabinet for dirt cheap, and I have another one coming in to the Airport Terminal this week - so I plan on giving my older brothers each one.

Man, the whole Arcade Business is somethin' else - but I figured that I should try it at least once.

Venom, I drove through Guirnee last night after hitting up Chicago Kamikazee Style. Chicago Traffic is [face_beatup]

You should have told me snoog's. But I hate chicago now. I have family on the south side, but that area got so bad. I don't even feel safe going there. I may still kick it downtown, but they banned smoking, and raised prices for just about everything. I will stick to going to gurnee mills or vernon hills. I agree with you about getting those machines. they are hard to come by for a cheap steal. While mame emulator works to a certain extent, it will be nothing like owning your own cabinet. Plus owning a few will be gold as a trade value. I had two myself, but i lended it to this roller rink. Ba#$%% took it when they closed, but oh well.

Ya, Chicago is a Gay Dirty City - basically a larger scaled version of Milwaukee with terrible traffic. These cabinets are so much fun and I've always had the ambition to purchase a few for my collection - so this dream is now offically a reality.

There's nothing quite like experiencing the true arcade feel, but I really enjoy MAME. After being hooked on MAME for the past few months, the urge to find an actual MAME Cabinet with controls specifically tailored to the whole experience came naturally.

By the way, which Games did you give to the roller-rink?

I gave away killer instinct 2 and xmen vs street fighter to the rink. Killer instinct was passed down to me from a family member. x vs sf cost me 2000 on www.sell.com.
