Sobek's CDG

I'm having a very hard time pulling off his secrdet CDG, in fact I've never been able to trigger it using the alternate method which I believe is X,Y,Rt,D,U,U. I need advice as to the timing or anything else helpful. I've even tried using the analog for the dircetinal inputs since the Dpad always just opens the taunt menu, But no success, Any help is appreciated.

You have to use the D pad, I have problems opening the menu, just try to be close to them and hit hard on right on the D pad, go practice it with another controller.

Gah! The damn forum ate my post. :(

Anyway the guide has you fooled. The combination is X,Y,RT,U,D,D (not D,U,U). If you're still having trouble with timing do it at a similar pace as you'd do the on-screen CDG and slowly work on speeding up your inputs for proficiency so people can't escape it. You can do it on the stick or the pad it doesn't matter.

Whenever I try to hit a directional stage in a CDG, it doesn't go and makes me start the combo over, and then the guy is uaully free. Do I have to use the D-pad, or is my timing just wrong?

Your probably entering a diagonal direction by mistake, which f***'s it up.
