Hey, I have been playing this game for the last couple weeks and I really love it, but one thing I can't seem to get down very well are the wall jumps and chimney climbing. Either my timing is off or I'm going at the wrong angle, but when I try to go jackie chan style up a gap between two walls, I suck. When I jump at a wall and then try to bounce (jump) off of it, I get a lot of horizontal momentum but little vertical momentum. Does anyone have any advice?

jumping is one of the best parts. Its a quickly getaway able to get new items everything. How you use it is up to you

I guess I'll keep practicing until I figure out what I am doing wrong. BTW, is wall dodging just jumping off a wall and getting horizontal momentum off of that?

Yeah, basically. In the beginning, use the a button to jump, but eventually you'll have to use the left analog stick to stay aiming and control yourself. As for the wall jumps:
wiggle your analog stick right and left really fast and keep pressing A. Works for me. :P

Well I discovered my problem pretty much by accident. I was facing the wrong direction. I would stand in between the two parallel walls facing one of the walls and jump backwards at the wall behind me and then forwards at the other wall. I should have been facing the space between the 2 parallel walls and jumping left and right.

Yes, though once you get good at them it's entirely possible to do it that way, or not even looking at the walls at all.
