Why is there no assault in the next UT? Epic says that it listened to the fans. Apperantly you didn't listen to the right ones.

1) Thanks for your opinion
2) Assault is not a very popular gametype for certain reasons (About half of all AS players are only playing trials and race maps).
3) Have you heard about the 'Conquest' gametype?

Nobody can please everybody, and it only makes sense for Epic to please the majority of players rather than the minority. Assault players are a relative minority, although if they have an open mind they could find a lot of fun from Conquest depending on how it turns out in the end.

wow Anuban I never thought playing godlike bots would be so much more fun than actual humans, you got a point there why didn't we think of that, better yet why waste money on the internet bill when we can sit in our rooms all day and make maps and play godlike bots, who needs friends and a community when you got godlike bots,

as for Mithan thank you for your short and straight answer although we would like to hear from epic themselves the reason for this, as they said in ut2004 they wanted to make the game better and that the fans can help, we would be glad to make a contribution to the game and help in any way we can, but we can only do that if we have a chance to if you cut us off without even the means to contribute or mod than that will be your loss and ours, like I mentioned earlier it would be better to include assault in the game even if you just use the same maps from 99 /2k4 (polished - more eye candy so anuban will be happy) that way if we wanted more maps we can mod them ourselves, rather than cut assault off altogether.

I don't think Epic created Instant Action just for me and I do LEAD a mod team and run my OWN forum for the project so I get plenty of interaction ... actually more than I need many times. :D :D

Why is it that when the gametype was in UT no one EVER played it? Yet when its gone everyone wants to have it. Games that Epic sees people are playing they are going to have included.
