This is kind of a shot in the dark, but the bug issue may actualy have somthing of a resolve. On release day I picked up the game, brought it home, and played it. The bugs were very much there online. Offline the game seemed fine, but online play was a whole nother issue.

For safty sake, I exchanged the disc. The result seems to be that the problems that happend before are actualy happening allot less. If you picked up one of the very first discs, it's possable that there were some bad batch copies.

That claim may seem a bit steep, but remains a possability. With my second copy, as said, the problems are happening alot less. But if it was a disc problem, why did it happen again at all you ask? Well with the slight difference with the copies made, it could very much be that the one batchs coding for the online play alone is the issue. Thusly offline players will never see the problems arrive. Meanwhile the online players with a certain batch will be extra exposed to the problem.

Now there is a possability still that it's not the disc. Could be that maybe it's not a coding problem at all and that Epic's server work is to blame. This also remains a possability. One of the major bugs is thinking you yourself are moving over the arena yet in the server's placing you, you're standing in place and waiting to be shot. If no one is around you and you find yourself die out of no whare without a shot fired, chances are this is happening. Another distinct recognizable feature that this is taking place is you can't pick up items. Of corce that can happen with a different varient of that bug.

Right now my advice is this. If you have a recept, make the attempt to just exchange your disc for another at the local retail store. It's moments like this that you should buy from a place like EB or Gamestop [witch in the neat future are becoming one in the same with the company buy out] and rely on a game store willing to give you little guff over exchanging problematic games.

The bugs do exist. Just cuz they aren't happening to you dosn't mean they don't. Be respectfull of those who do have the problem for it's at this point proven to not be their fault. Live is also not to blame for the simple fact that companies that make the games are responsable for obtaining servers for online play that live merely routes them too.

PS: sorces say that the big upgrade to fix some issues should be made available to live users in about a month.

I own 2 copies. One was bought at launch and the other was bought about 4 days ago.

They both seem to glitch about the same.

It's not a bad disc. I've tried several copies, all bought from different locations, and got the same results.
