Just out of curiousity, I'm masterful atm, and I heard the only way to go up from here is to beat people your rank or higher, which is masterful or godlike. Now people like this are hard to find, so will bots on my online server, set as godlike count as quality kills for me? Aka helping me rank up.

Really. The ranking system is BS. Most times the host wins the match. The real contest is in the ping. Call it Ping Warfare. I consistently win or get second place when i host a game (mostly win). When you play on a hosted game take note of the hosts name. More times than not it is the host that comes in first unless he/she sucks badly at the game.
Epic servers are somewhat better but those who live closest to the server will have the advantage. I disconnect from more fights than I finish because it becomes very obvious when your shots are firing on a second delay taking your aim off just ever so slightly. Every now and then i get on a good server hosted by somone that must live relatively close to me (I live in New Jersey) and I can be competitive.
Nonetheless one's ranking does not necessarily represent one's true skill level as I,a rank 3 (adept), routinely beat the pants off of rank 4s when I host, yet on other servers, the same rank 4s school me like I'm a complete n00b playing the game for the first time.
Its all relative to the speed you are going. E=mc2. You wanna boost your rank....host every game you play. I guarantee you will come out with damn good stats unless you totally suck.
Kinda skews the paradigm of whose truly the best, though I will admit the best players out there can overcome the speed differences and to those peeps I give mad props.

First of all, screw your rank. I think the 1-5 thing is dumb to try for, try to keep your Kill:death ratio good.
And about the "ping wars" thing, i join matches constantly and i do just fine in them. I don't lag much at all. And if you don't like "host wins usually" stuff, join the dedicated servers, then there is no host.

I advise playing dedicated, especially for those who only like to play on their own server....you have to adjust your aim to the slight delay you will get since you wont have zero ping, for living close to server it helps but I live in the Midwest, I can promise their are no servers near me way in the middle of no were but I still do just fine

its stupid why they call the EASTERN part of the US the Mid-West. i live in the real west, and ao as soon as i have XBL i shouldnt have very many problems

Godlike bots do not help your rank, if I remember correctly.
I *have* to play on my own server right now, because otherwise the game lags like craaazy (IE, my character can't even walk smoothly kinda jumps around a lot instead of a smooth walking motion). Even in these servers I can still do *okay* but I prefer to play with my friends and host my own servers because *I* don't lag, and no one else does either.
Honestly you shouldn't care.
I'd prefer to still be a novice so I can put more Adepts and Masterfuls in their place instead of the "OH YOU'RE SO DEAD I AM HIGH RANKED LOL I AM BETTER THAN YOU BECAUSE OF LITTLE BARS NEXT TO MY NAME"
