I heard that Epic is resetting the stats once the new DLC comes out. If so, will the ranking system be alted as well? I just lost my godlike and fear I'll never get it back, perhaps the ranks should be less retroactive?

There has been no announcement on rank being reset. Its originated once the download was announced. Its plainly something that some people want, but nothing has been said by the development team.

I think they should take the levels out so people could IDK play for fun instead of stat whoreing.

Well, most other games keep stat games, and non stat games serperate.

Just look at TS:FP, no stats in that, it was crap, you just ran around mindlessly.

That's why I like TS:FP it was just about playing to have fun. What's the point of stats anyway? It's not like you get a prize or anything

Cause I like to see how good I do. And I just hit 10,000 kills. They better not restart it.

I like the stats on UC2, its cool to see how many kills and deaths you have and all that stuff. I can care less if i'm adept or novice or godlike, i just enjoy playing and the stats system rocks. I just love how it keeps track of my kills for every gun/character even.

Well, stats are fine, but whole Level 1-5 thing is trying to appeal to Halo fanboys.

Besides, most other games have stats for world rank. Not a title.

i went to godlike today.

however the next game i played in i froze as we were about to win. After that i went back to masterfull. Im not fussed about stats and that but i felt robbed.
