Concept-Download a disk from internet(console mod, ported from pc) and be able to play on same online protocol w/ xbox2 etc.

Perhaps a software prog would have to be written to help make it compatible, save time.

Or software to let players create their own games, and release to friends/internet community. A simlike building experience, and programming for novice.- Character creation, sound/music, physics-w/ simple variable slow, neutral, fast etc all tweakable w/ scale

Red Orchestra would be cool if i could play it on xbox is just what i mean.

i heard Pariah has a map creator in it for councole

i dont think concosle modding comunity would catch on. i know too many x box junkies that will play games but never have a drive to make anything for them. by adding mods to xbox you need an easly accesable way of transfering.

i duno i find the pc has a better internet comunity than the console will ever have, to get the word out on new mods and stuff

The bad thing about console mods is that you can't play on xbox live. The only good thing that I can think of is that you get a whole bunch of cool stuff not normally available on a regular console.

a harddrive is a way to store mod data. the issue is dloading the data, in many pc games there are ppl that host games with exesive mutators and it can take 30 minutes to dload it all. a fix would to post the mods on sites like fileshak but then you need to burn it off and intall it.
one issue with console mods is how the console is limited. Computers they have a dynamic preformance level if a map runs bad due to poor mapping you can lower detail settings to make it run better, the xbox has only one setting, if you start opening modding to consoles there will be ones that run realy laggy due to poor coding and optomisation.
the one thing that realy kills concole modding is that you need a computer to make the mods, then a xbox to test it. even if a concole has a editor id expect it to be realy dumbed down to run on the console and then use the interfase
