I have been playing this game for some time now (mainly offline because of the lag) and consider myself to be pretty good. I can regularly beat the bots on masterful and once in a while on godlike, but no matter what I do I can't seem to get out of a freeze fast.

Can someone please help me with this? Do you wiggle it in a circular motion or just back and forth? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Isn't it push the A button + Right trigger(wiggle)?

Circular motion is the worst way.

do you go left and right then or up and down because no matter how fast I do it i dont seem to get out very fast. Your go0ing all the way to the edge right? -not just wiggling without touchinng the boundary? please give me more detailed instructions. Describe exactly how you do it because i have tried everything
- thanx

There is AWAKEn as a latent adrrenaline power to...how it's enacted I don't know.

You'll notice sometimes you are frozen and awaken instantly.

Usually, Awakens can be affected by many things. Such as How far the player was from the freezer, how fast someone can move the thumb-sticks and press the A button, ect, ect. And one other factor (if your performing a CDG) is how fast you can perfrom the button combo.

Some freeze escape FYI:
When you go to break a freeze put more emphasis on wriggling your stick than mashing A. Why? Because you can in fact awaken without ever touching the A button. Of course a combination of both helps but a ton of A inputs doesn’t help as much stick wriggling, just a little “heads-up.”

On the instant escape:
Ya there are certain situations where you can instantly awaken. I encounter a lot of them during certain beginning and ending jump animations. Like for instance a character would be in some kind of jumping state and instantly awaken from freeze without the opponent touching them at all and without touching the controller to escape as the character "becomes" frozen. I've also noticed "instant awaken" will sometimes happen when your character is in the middle of the animation for a weapon switch. I'm sure there are a lot of other ones too, time will tell.

I think I've found an instant unfreeze. Press reflect at the right time and you'll instantly unfreeze, I noticed this when I fudged the timing on reflecting freeze shots. Now none of the stupid bots can freeze and coup de grace me, but the vice versa isn't true, muhaha.

On the instant awakens......You'll notice "awaken" is actually an adrenaline ability...it's in one of the info menus...can't remember which one.

It's just in there so you know about it, it's not actually an adrenaline ability.
