YO,sup all!! I was wondering if anyone knew if the final version will support clans.
Like Rosters,clan tags and clan MSG boards?

Also will you be able to create a room and name it what you want? Or is it gonna be like GR2,the room is the name of the host....cause thats retarded!!

TY for your repely!! You know it blows my mind how companies can build a game soley for online play and not include what we "online gamers" need!!!

These companies really need to start payin more attention to the success of other games around them.

I mean, when a company like ZIPPER puts out a game with the best out-of-game layout the console world has ever seen! (ex.friends list,rosters,clan tags,clan MSG boards,location of friends,PM's in and out of play..its like havin AIM built right in your game).You would think that the success of that game would make for a >>>>>>industry standred<<<<<<,in which all games are modeled after!!Like all other compeditive markets!*in order for a clan to function properly,there needs to be good solid communication*

This type of content needs to be in every online game for any mature gamer to take it seriously or else, its just another shooter you play for fun when your clan is not on or you dont have a match!

People still want clans. They just have to work at keeping one. Epic has done so much with this game, i think they plainly didnt have enough time to put in every feature that they wanted. I bet they wanted us to have LIVE 3.0 But just cant get to it.

well, If they wanted our business and for us to stay loyal to the title they would!The game I was talkin about above is not even on a 256mb platform..Zipper has manage to do all of iton 128mb crappy PS2! So I dont want to hear it!I want clan tags,MSG boards and all that good stuff.I wont settle for anything less.How are ppl supposed to know your in a clan or not to vote off dude cause hes your clanmate,if you dont show tags?What if DUDE plays UC2 24/7 and is awesome at it,but he cant be in your clan cause he dont have a PC?Thats just stupid,you should be able to manage your clan w/o a third party communicator!Or you shouldnt have to IM someone on a PC to find out what room there in!!or to find a simple 3vs3 scrimage!

I had my x-box and PS2 online way before I ever owned a PC so what? I know ppl who dont have PC but are raging on-line console gamers..WOOT!.I am 33 yrs old...I remember the dayz of going from room to room lookin for your boyz! I just thought those days were gone,but I guess not!!

yo RuDeBWOY, im totally with you man. I dont know how epic let this feature slip past them.

As for anyone who says they ran out of time to not be able to enclude live 3.0 features.....to that i say Bulls**t. If anyone remembers this game was suppost to be out last november......then epic decided not to go head to head versus halo 2 so they postponed it till the new year.....

with this time they enculded a "special charater" aka raiden....ohh boy a new charater......

this is where i think they dropped the ball....

because not only did they postpone it once....they did it twice as they (epic and or midway) had a second title (which title i cant think of right now) to come out in early 05 so they decided to give that game some time on the shelves beofre releasing UC2.

so that gave them some more time to....well touch up the game.

So the time issue is BS i think, i belive that the developers dropped the ball on this issue point blank. I belive that 4-5 months is plenty time to incorperate the live 3.0 features into thier game. I personally am startign to think that they wanted to spend thier time on the charaters, and 40+ maps that the game does support.
However, hopfully with the magic that has come to us via many games before us.........this little trick is called "AUTO UPDATE"..........GOD PLEASE EPIC start workign on the auto update asap, drop all plans for future maps......and start on teh clan feature, the voice messaging.....god pls do it for the love of all clan games.....for the long term succsess of this game i think depends on teh clan feature.........and as of right now ..its lacking...........so for me a gamer who goes through games like i change my socks...this game is litterally only going to keep me entertained till june when the new rainbow six 3 comes out.....and guess what it supports clans....the right way.

As for incorporating 3.0 in a game that is half done...and it gets delayed....why the hell not???? its half done.....its not like it is done....just me

As for your RS3 BA comment, yea there was no macthmaking clan feature.....but thats only in halo 2 anyways. however i owuld like to see more of a ghost recon 2 dilly where you sign up for comps adn well you have a date and time to play it.
however to my RS3 BA comment, at least they gave you a clan option to keep track of your team, gave you your clans letters in front of your gammer tag to establish you among the crowd....and you could easily find a clan match by askign someone with the letters on thier name to a comp.

what will UC 2 have??? a bunch of idiots shoooting each other and being like hey mabye I can send that guy a friend request to find out if he has a clan and go from there, cause as far as i see theres not even a set up room, to talk to people......i think it wont be as fun as if it had something to help us clan happy mofo's out.

it takes 5 mins to go post on the forums here or xbox.com asking for one and say send f/r if you want one. you go back online play with your clan and await the invites. its not that hard...

Does it have a feature that remembers you when to grab a bite to eat?
I always forget to eat while playing, so I pass out unless I set an alarm, so I think this game should remind you!

But seriously, it's too bad it's not in, but people managed just fine for years, so I'm sure everyone will manage just fine once again.

man a feture that would remind you to eat would be sweet, or even blink...like have a eye flash on screen so i know to blink, that would be the sweetness, and then flash a sandwich so i knew to eat....totally hot...i agree with all these ideas. mabye this is somethign that x box live 4.0 will have.....?!?!?!

People played HUNDREDS of clan matches in UC and even more in other Live games without 3.0 or 'clan' features. You dont need a little menu option to have a clan OR a clan match. If it were up to me NO Live games would have that crap. All it does is create more cheaters and everyone just looks to clan stats to see who is the best instead of actually playing them.

If you want to know the top UC2 clans a couple months after the game comes out all you need to do is go to the Unreal Championship 2 forums or the Unreal Clan forums over at http://forums.xbox.com All the top Unreal Live clans have been hanging out around there since the beginning of Live.

By the way there is a mutator for best of 3 and best of 5. That will work great for clan matches.
