I am dying to play these titles again but all I have is a 360. I am especially fiending for some UC2 and i tink it would be really amazing to see the eye candy of the UE2X running in 1080i on my HD.
I know alot of this has been covered in the past but I just cannot understand why Microsoft does not want to put out the good games that people want to play.
It's also not just Unreal. There are many games people are pissed about. Microsoft goes as far as to say some of these titles emulate the same as something else but out of the well over 200 compatable titles, only 20 to 30 were ever favored by the Xbox community. Does that mean still over 200 titles all emulated the same as 20 games? I highly doubt that.
I bet if they made a new Halo game on the first gen Xbox, it would be emulated with the quickness no matter what.

I don't really see much gain in that for Epic. It costs money and time. Yeah it's probably good for public relations, but we saw they don't really put too much on that with the UC2 patch.

this is just a sad state of affairs. MS really kinda screwed up on the whole backwards compatibility issue. Other systems got it right; even Nintendo will have BC this time...and yet MS just had to be the odd man out on this. I think it's been their biggest mistake with 360 so far.
*I've also lost all hope in this...which is why I will keep an old Xbox around for many years to come. Heh, the people who sold their old Xboxes must feel at least some level of regret.

Sad state of affairs is right, but one thing's for certain... Most gamers saw their lack of zeal for BC waning. I'm not sure which 21 games have made the most soon-to-be-released update, but haven't heard of UC2 being on the coveted list. Well, hopefully before the year's up *cough* ya right *cough*.

[face_doh!] Someone has got to explain to me how the hell does DOOM 3 end up on that list, and not any one of the Unreal Titles.

So UC1 is ont already on the list....????
WTFH!!??????
and Doom 3 is, what idocy.
You know what it is:
There more concerned with getting games on B/C that are possible sellers as new games still.
Like you know how sometimes you might wanna play a game, or see a movie, but not get around to it till maybe even two years after release.
Like for instance, take the movie Batman Begins.I just saw it no too long ago, and freakin loved it.Well I wanted to see it in theaters, but just never got around to it, and I REALLY WANTED to see it.
So my DVD sale may come a full year after the DVD's release.
So take that to a game, like lets say, oh Warpath.
Assume it sells well, and they see it as a potiential "new copy" seller.
Then I bet it gets priority on the B/C list.
I would think UC2 falls into this category, but I guess it's sales state otherwise.
GL ON BC 360 dudes.

well xbox magazine did that top 20 games you never bought thing and UC2 was on it correct? You'd think that they woulda made a valiant effort for that list to drive some sales of the games by making those 20 their priority for BC... guess not

Xbox 360 BC list updated
Twenty-one more Xbox games now playable on Xbox 360; Doom 3, Lego Star Wars, Silent Hill 4 lead pack.

Early this month, Microsoft VP Peter Moore stated that "nobody is concerned anymore about backward compatibility," prompting the company's PR department into action. Moore has since retracted the statement, saying he was taken out of context.
Regardless of what was said before, it's apparent that people do still care about backward compatibility on the Xbox 360. Microsoft has announced the latest additions to its list of Xbox games run on the company's next-gen console.
Answering the prayers of many gamers, Doom 3 is now one of the 200-plus Xbox games that can be played on an Xbox 360. Also on the list are horror titles Fatal Frame and Silent Hill 4: The Room, as well as a few from a galaxy far, far away--Lego Star Wars and the original Star Wars Battlefront.
A list of all 21 games added to the list is below:
• 4x4 EVO 2
• Amped 2
• Bad Boys 2
• Big Mutha Truckers
• Doom 3
• Dreamfall: The Longest Journey
• Fatal Frame
• FlatOut
• Grabbed by the Ghoulies
• Intellivision Lives
• LEGO Star Wars
• Minority Report
• MLB SlugFest 20-04
• The Punisher
• RalliSport Challenge
• Silent Hill 4: The Room
• Spawn Armageddon
• Spider-Man
• Star Wars Battlefront
• State of Emergency
• Zapper
In addition, the following Japanese-only Xbox games are also now playable on the Xbox 360:
• Bistro Cupid 1
• Flight Academy
• Othello Seminar
• Igo Seminar
• Shogi Seminar
• Mahjong Seminar

We offered to help get UC2 on the BC list. It's pretty much out of our hands, but MS knows we and our fans want it done.

Um. How 'bout. You ask them nicely? Like. Could you please have Unreal championship 2 on the backwards compatible list after the next updatE? It would be greatly appreciated from us and our fans. That's all I have to say. Thanks. <--- Something like that? Hah.

I say just bite the bullet and just remake the game for the 360, or just make a sequel after you guys are done with UT2K7 and Gears of War.
