How do you feel about in-game stats?

I'm talking about publicly visible in-game stats. I think that both good and bad things come from having lots of stat tracking stuff built in. That being said, I'm personally sort of glad that UC2 has no leaderboards in-game.

How do you guys feel, about stats in general?

I like to keep track of how i'm doing in a match in 2K4. If anything, the stats are lacking info. I prefer the stats that UTComp gives or that TAM/AM gives. As for global stats, those suck. The people that do the retarded race maps are the leaders of the Assault stats board.
