Will it be a modified Shock Rifle only insta-gib like UT2k4/UC1? The new Shock Rifle seems to shoot a steady beam.. So I'm not sure how insta-gib would work.

The steady beam has reverted back to the good old Shock Rifle you remember, shooting an instant beam, then needing to squeeze of the trigger to shoot again, among other reasons because you simply can't deflect a steady beam.
So yes, it'll be a modified Shock Rifle once again.

Well, first of all, sorry everyone for giving incorrect information.
I just assumed since that's what Epic did in the past, because it made sense considering the way the SR works, as well since it meant re-using content which is always efficient.
Also this is the very first time I heard otherwise.

I am very curious what the new Instagib weapon is now.
Hmmm, I doubt it's anything melee, probably still some kind of instant-hit weapon, right?

It is a sniper rifle that shoots a red beam, but you have to unlock Instagib in story mode.
