Ok here I go im so mad. Im going crazy, every time I am winning I lag out everytime im loosing I lag out. When I go alot of kills .... I lag out and when I die alot I dont, this is affecting my rank and I cant reset it. Im geting mad with my like 40 disconnects, 15 wins, and 45 losses when im actually better then some people who have better record then me, only because they dont lag. My internet connection is amaizing im on a t2. I want this problem fixed so CHOP CHOP. Fix your servers and this game will be fun, dont fix I might have to stop playing cause it is so pathetic. And I think I speak for many other people. Oh and quick question will you reset my rank?

as epic would say, check all your connections, clean your stuff, and join a good host, even though there's no real way you can tell a good one from a bad one.

QuickMatch will find the fastest active server for you, I recommend you play there. Also, if you are behind a router I sugest you disable any built in firewalls and be sure to enable port forwarding for your xbox.

xbox live is sad (seriously).

its time you accept things epic, think.. how can our game lagg so match, and bungie's halo 2 not. seriously, do you reallly think the people that played halo 2 and had 3/100 lagg experiences... are lagging in uc2 because of .. dust? older xbox version maybe? or bad host?

maybe its time to low res everything., lmao. the lagg is really horrible, trust me. all we need is a word that you will fix this, like 75-100% FIXX. and then i wont return this.. i wont extend my xbl subscription but yes ill keep the disc.

O K

1. I got a lynksys and I have disabled the Fire Wall befor BUT... You need like 2 sets of numbers the like starting port and sumthing else (eg. warcfaft was 1692 1698, or sumhting like that) anyways where can I get the numbers?

2. I dont get this problem anywhere else.

3. When I join anybodys game no matter what I lag out but on my own I dont, but that thing to hosting is no one joins :) and they lag out.

hmm.. ive recently played 3 str8 unlaggy games )only played 8 overall online, first 2 dint lag, rest did horribly) i played in them for a while, they only had 4 players, but still no lag at all, i cud reject and everything.

is it possible.. the so called "cache" stuff eventually makes everything behave normally?

RenegadeSpec I assume you're talking about port forwarding, you can get the XBL port number from the XBL website. You can also look up your xbox's IP address from the network settings screen on your xbox (or the router if you can view the clients).

I think if you are able to connect to Live, I beleive prt fowarding will not help in anyway. I must say, I have never played a "good" game on Live. The one I played that was lag freem in the last 3 minutes I couldn't do anything but move, melee, and shoot enforcers (No jumping attacks, other weapons, using elevators). I must say I am very unhappy yet I am one of the few people who enjoy the single player ladders.

alright i see it as this.

Halo 2 ALWAYS picks whoever has teh best connection in the game, so that is why it doesn't lag. Also try hosting your own game of course!! If you constantly freeze you just have something wrong. Sure i get it like 1/20 games, but whatever, the game is new and teh bugs are not worked out. You peoplle are to impatient to notice this and wait for a patch

Ok ya i returned my game and it still dont work. What I do it host my own games and wait 30 minutes for people to join then I play, I know it sucks but Ide rather play then lag out and ya port forwarding wont help anyways cause I can host and sign on xbox but I was wonderin because I had to do it for Warcraft 3. Anyways thanks il wait for a patch. I think I know why are they still running the online demo? cause that could be causing the problem. anyways thanks!

You don't need to forward the ports UNLESS you are planning to host for Xbox Live. Then you need to. This could be the reason it takes "30 minutes" for people to join the game.. very, very few can get through. The rest probably get a message saying the game is full when it isn't, it's just the default joining error message.

Since you have a T2, which I doubt you are paying for yourself, you probably can't open the ports you need for hosting anyway. You need to get in touch with your network administrator.

Setting up the port forwarding helped my live connection.
Hosting or not, I would recommend it. Doesn't hurt anything.

Wow, port forwarding reduces packet loss by like 80%, especially if you have other computers running on the same network.

Only time i have is when people join or leave. But in regular play i barely have any problems. Sure some times it takes you out of the game. But the addicting gameplay makes up for it.

You wont be so forgiving after a endless evening of lag and game freezes. I mean seriously, this is piss poor netcode, Im really dissapointed in Epic right now, great game, just wont run on live at all. I can play 16 and 32 player FPS games with no problems, but Epic cant get 8 people to run smooth? For shame.

Netcode is fine, host a game and you will see. Mr.T1 Line.

I tried all last night, guess what? Tons of lag and freezing. Funny how every other XBL game I have runs fine but this one eh? I guess me and the MANY others who are unable to even play this game are full of **** right? Yeah, your right, the netcode is fine, we are all making this up. (PS 32 player Battlefront, 1 laggy game out of 30, you tell me man.)

Thats what makes this such a messed up issue, alot of people are having these issues and some arent, the only reason that I can think that it would be like that is due to some kind of regional issue....

legacy-SkunkyNugz

i have played people in their servers and lost badly...then i host a game and those same people come in and cant even kill me..now tell me lag is not an issue..lol

The xbox live on this game sucks HARD. Maybe its just that i live in Australia, but ive never really had any lag problems with any other game. One other question how do u know if the host has a good connection?

legacy-DUDEATWOODSTOCK
05-03-2005, 02:47 AM
You don't...untill you join the game. I think some people suggested to add host/server connection speed status like some p2p applications.

legacy-Digininja
05-03-2005, 01:15 PM
yeah, that would help a bit I think, I mean it takes me forever to get into a lag free game (with a MONSTER connection) I really think this is going to seriously damage the community for this game, and very quickly.
