So I saw the xbox 360 backwards compatible list and I noticed that UC and UC2 were not included in the list. Has anyone heard anything different about these games being supported on the 360?

I think Epic is in a good place to encourage everyone else to do it, but you're right it's probably not up to them to actually make the emulator. Hopefully Midway/Microsoft will get on top of it soon enough, however...

I just played an interactive of 360....It did look sweet.

I played King Kong and Call of Duty.

King kong looked pretty dang nice, but being a mapper/ametuer designer, I saw lots of thing not very pleasing to the eye...if your looking for it.
Of course I was looking for something bad.IT still looked really good, and I would'nt mind it at all if I could get one of the cheaper ones.

If Xbox does a price drop, and has a good game line-up around PS3's launch, I may just go with 360 regardless.

Price is a big factor for me....poket wise and principal wise.Why would I pay 100's of dollars for a chuck of plastic and silicone, when I could use those hundreds towrd PC upgrades??

When I worked for EB games, every xmas the systems start to seel out no matter what.Everyone wants a PS2 or whatever for Xmas.

So when it gets to around November, they start the gouging.

They'll say "well this is the only place they're gonna get a PS2, so F 'em"

So then your mommy walks in to get a PS2 for Jimmy.

"hey we just need a PS2 system, we already got all the games were gonna need"

That might be how it is in America, but not in Britain. When I got my x-box, it had good deals ( Splinter Cell + Halo) and the xbox, which at the time was 150 quid, and the rest was as standard, and wasnt paying for any useless cables, crappy games, or anything.

Im guessing the package deal here will be X360 non-core system + PDZ+DOA4 = to 250-300quid.

My father was telling me the same thing the other night. But he said each store has consoles only to sell if you put up enough fuss. But they're suppose to push the bundles. Atleast at his store that's the rules they were given.

Try the Official Xbox Forums, people are sorta' dissapointed with the movement, how slow it is, and no jump.

Maintaining the older PDark feel, and anyone who doesnt know why jumping is not in the game should be shot, for not playing any good games in there life.

Me and my friends used to play that game only on slow-mo mode in multiplayer because it was just too fast for the system. Especially when playing with bots!

There isnt any jumping because thats Rare's trademark, making brilliant games without a jump function ( Golden Eye, Perfect Dark, and now Perfect Dark Zero) 1 of those being the most innovative games ever apart from Half-Life, and another being the most complete game ever.

I just heard back that UC2 compatibility is forthcoming. I don't know a timeframe, but at least MS considers it a high priority.

No idea. I really don't know how much of the 360 is consumed by emulation. It's certainly possible. The graphics hardware is so much more powerful that you are less likely to run into GPU limitations, but I don't know if that will translate into any improved performance since they are completely different GPUs and the emulation layer may consume some of the performance.

It's not like new textures are going to be available. Those are all the same. The game supports 480p, which is what it will output. The 360 may convert that up, but underneath that will still be the same resolution you have now.

Whew, that is great news and will hopefully happen real soon. I'd love to approach UC2 from a fresh start once again and bring back those feelings of why this game remains one of my favorites of all time. If nothing else, an extra layer of graphical polish provided by the 360 upconverting to 720p and 1080i would be all worth it. This info is much-appreciated!

MS hasn't yet asked us to change anything for BC to work.

As for another patch, I can't comment on the likely hood of another one. I am a drone, not the queen (king really) bee.

BTW, I didn't mean to imply that UC3 was in the works. All I said was that it would be fun to work on UC3. We only have two games in the works: Gears and UT.
