I've been kicked off from about 7 or 9 servers within a bit more then an hour. This would understandably be fine, if i was mean or something, but i only owned them.
This starts to annoy me, my first hour, and i get disconnected on the run. I can understand that you dont like to loose, but being kicked for being better?
This is truly frustrating me.... I got me Xbox Live to play against Hardcore players, that they swipe the floor with the guts of my Character, and here i am, winning everywhere, and hear ppl whine, oh well....
I got the Jumpy ***** Award :D

In my experiance if you kill the host one too many times you get booted. I've had some really nice players though. I think the community is better than Halo or SplinterCell:CT.

Just do what you do and show them whos boss! Or you could just host your own game.

If I host my own game, I'll end up getting bored cause no one will join, leading to my random suicide sprees. Than, I will kick myself for killing the host to many times.

Only some people suck but most of the community is nice.

If you're looking for a non-lag server with some cool people that are fun to play with, just add me on your friends list. I start up servers usually around nightime (thats when i'm at my peak speed, 10pm eastern time) and i only boot people that like to rip on others, and people who keep their tv up to loud and won't turn it down (you got to admit, that is annoying!!). So if you're interested my GT is smuguf, go ahead and add me.

^ Ditto
I usually have a 4-6 player DM game going. No lag complaints.

FViral i'm gonna send you a friend request when i get the chance, cuz sometimes hosting my own server bites due to nobody joining.

Ha, that happens to me as well. I usually work on my dodging and learning the maps when I'm by myself.

I had the same thing happen to me in a Team Deathmatch with the retribution mutator. When I join my team was in the lead. I was the 8th player to join and I followed around another team member and helped him clean the floor with this red team. I did a few pounces and in the short time I played I died one time. The player Crimson Monk was red and played as Selket, I was blue and Selket also. Unfortunately he ran into me 3 times and ended up dead. After the third death I got a message saying I was removed by the host. It's pretty crappy when people do that. When someone joins a game with when I am playing with my online buddies we let them play, usually cause we play deathmatch. And we still go after each other.
I think there are just people who really aren't interested in the online concept and just want to win. The only time I have booted someone is when My bro and I were playing a team deathmatch with bots and someone joined the other team and fought against us. This was fine compete against us and end the round. However, he ordered all the bots on his team to camp by the U-damage while he ran around, camped somewhere else or hid from us and tried to hunt our bots. After about 5 or 10 minutes of this halo 2-like strategy, I said I was going to boot him to my bro and after the 3rd warning booted him so we could finish the game. Good hosts are suppose to act as mediators not as people who only worry about stats and wins.
This is why playing with a person you know makes the xbox live experience a million times better.

I don't know what's worse
1) Getting booted because your good
or
2) Getting booted because you don't play the game 20 hours a day. (see Counterstrike for an example)

I've gotten booted a couple of times. Both times I've written down the GT of the host and put it in my signature over on the xbox forums.

Generally, I feel the maturity of the Halo 2 community is extremely disappointing. All too often I found myself in Big Team Battles where an entire team would mess around and not bother completing their objectives. Quibbles like these can only deter older players like myself from enjoying the game online. Fortunately, I have yet to find a similar percentage of dolts playing Unreal Championship 2.
