I'm Berserker, also known as {BL}Berserker and Berserker[UTR] (oops, and I almost forgot the most important one, BEERserker).. that UTR means I am part of the team developing the Unreal Tournament Revolution (UT Remake) mod for UT2004. Check it out at http://utr.unrealfans.com

I am in charge of graphics & modelling, and dabble in some of the coding/mapping end, etc as well.. Jack of all trades really.

Currently I play mostly UT2004 TDM and ONS, but was an active member of the original UT Zark community for about 2 years.

Also, I can be pretty opinionated, but I'll try to behave.. if anyone takes offense to anything I've said, I apologize. I hold high standards and in the end it's my goal to be constructive.. I've joined these Epic forums both to teach and learn.. hopefully there's a little room to put our feet up too though.

I started with UT99, where I was a supernewbie who played only Deck16 with bots. I moved to pubs when UT2003 came out, on my 56k connection. To be truthfully honest, I never heard of the Unreal Series until the release of UC1. When it came out I just purchased Xbox Live and wanted a game for it. I bought Unreal Championship because my friend said it was cool and I've been hooked ever since. I purchased Unreal Tournament GOTY and that was pretty fun until UT2k4 came out. My computer wasn't fast enough to run it so I waited for several months before I finally comvinced my parents that I could afford a new computer (they are obsessed with me saving for college even though they are paying most of it :p) I bought a new one, bought the ECE of UT2k4 and have played it religiously ever since. Now UC2 is coming out and I love it as well. :)

Been playing ut2004 since it came out. Before this the only fps I played was hl and quake, I never played the other unreal games. I mostly play ons but like to play DM every now and again.

This is the most I have ever played an online game. I never got into counterstrike, the play seemed too slow. I am very happy to have bought and tried the game. I will continue to play it since I just tried hl2 and while the graphics are nice the play does seem to be slow compared to ut04.

I started with Unreal in 98 when the demo was released, than when to UT when that demo was released, the same with 2k3, and the same with 2k4.

Right now I'm at a college which blocks all gaming ports so I'm unable to get online anymore, but luckily pdX isn't really active in 2k4 atm and since LoD has been inactive since 2k3, I guess I'm free of gaming obligations. :D

I'm from Austria, 25 years old, and working as an IT-professional (MCSA). I love PC's, programming and gaming. On the gaming side I love especially the Unreal games and the ID-games. I'm relativly new to the whole Unreal scene. Gameply-wise I'm a real noob in UT2004, though I was a very good player in Q3, and as such have at least a good aim. ;)

What I'm interested the most though are the engines (UE2.5 and Doom 3 at the moment). I modded and mapped for Q3 and do it partially for D3 now. Learning UE2.5 at the moment (I mapped for Unreal 1 a long time ago, but much has changed in UE since).

The most important thing that brought me to Unreal is the engine, the second most important is the really great community.

Big thanks to Epic for making this really great engines and games, and also big thanks to the community for many different things. ;)

Started playing UT99 and got hooked. I played that years after it came out. Then stopped when 2003 came out. I didn't play that as long. It wasn't as fun as UT99 was. I stopped playing UT for 9 months. Then UT2004 came out and I don't know why but I was ready for it. Now I'm hooked once again.

I follow Unreal Engine Technology from very far,
from the first preview on some videogames newspaper (1995-1996 if i remember correctly), the amazing level of detail, light effect etc... wow...
I played Unreal (the first)plus expansion, Unreal Tournament, Unreal 2;
Unreal Tournament 2003 at a beta preview in Bologna (italy) by Mark Rein (was very happy) see new Unreal Engine tech in preview. (very honored to meet and talk with Mark Rein...)
Unreal Tournament 2003 and 2004. And a lot of Unreal Engine Powered games, Whell of Time, DeusEX, Rainbow Six almost all, Splinter Cell (now i wait for chaos theory), and Lineage2, and more in future i hope, now i am very exited to see all new features in the Unreal Engine 3...
From the first Unreal, the possibility to make new content, is the best feature, a Editor and all tools for create new content and see the results in realtime.

Game most disapointed in: FABLE, Dammit That guy spent four years to make that game and they diddnt even work in half the stuf they said on Electronic Playground. Really where did the horses go, where did the CPU heros who were in real time like what a bunch of liars.

I like the robots of the UT series, even when i beleive Wraith was one, or was that just a mask? I've been playing Unreal since the first one came out. Yup, the original with all of its little multiplayer goodness [non-online just stand alone] Been loving it ever since. I've seen the game change, weapons change.. from 8ball gun to rocket launcher... etc. Its been a fun run and i love the new UC! Take that gaming world!

I haven't played UT99 because I didn't had a computer wich could bear it back then.
I did recently get a copy tough. And I think it's still a pretty cool game.
Haven't played UC2 Demo yet since I don't own an XBOX, a friend of mine does tough, and he said he'd probably buy it.
I have basic knowledge of Ued3 and I'm doing a Egyptian styled BR map at the moment.

I expect a certain reaction, so yes, I also think a search would be more at home under "Search" than under "Options", since it's not an option at all, but that's the way it works.

It's a bit late, but to complete the chiliad I figure I'd finally put something here:

I'm usually called Retodon8, don't really go by any other name online.
I turned 26 the 6th of this month, and I'm from the Netherlands.

I ended up becoming a fan of the Unreal series, mostly because of the original Unreal Tournament, but I also got the later UTs and the original Unreal.
I didn't play UC, but I'm going to be playing UC2, though without Live and a borrowed Xbox I don't see myself going online with it anymore soon.

I'm also looking forward to playing Envy, but right now there's still a lot of time of looking forward to it, instead of actually playing it.
I think that game will be the reason for me to finally upgrade my PC, so at least the waiting will save me money. :)
