EPIC: Online Split Screens??

While you are playing a MP Co-Op w/ a friend does the screen split when your ally goes a seperate way?
Or does the screen always remain on you and never splits?

Yes EPIC how does that work, i have heard you guys say something about the Screen Splitting, and im confused, how will the screen split, i hope it doesnt b/c it would just screw up the my view and fun experience

I think it would take away the communication. This game is all about communication. Maybe just a small corner on the top of your screen would be good.

ya that would make sense like GRAW or something, but i hope they screens dont split atall!

i think it would always have to split. Otherwise if the camera focused only on Marcus, player 2 (Dom) could easily get lost.
And most people who play Next-Gen games have large TVs so it shouldn't be that much of a problem

i think he was asking will it split when ur playing co-op online, b/c EPIC said something like that, and i doubt that the screen would ever be together during splitscreen co-op or MP, b/c you could aim and move correctly, the screen should always be split in Splitscreen coop or MP, but we are asking if the screen will split in Online co-op, actually we are just confused about the whole screen splitting thing in general, i want to know WHEN WILL THE SCREEN SPLIT? HOPEFULLY EPIC CAN HELP:)

Most games when playing co-op over xbox live, dont splitscreen. The real question is "can you bring guests online?" ala halo 2

i think so, hopefully, well i am happy to see you here Zoso, b/c i know u know alot about this kind of stuff, do u remember some ppl from EPIC saying something about "........and then the screens will split" or something b/c thats what this is all about, and im confused:confused:

Ya, this is kind of a foggy matter, i think we will have to wait till a little before release though. One thing we have to realize is they have alot of time to take in input and add features, so i doubt the will screw much if anything up.

ya, that is true, but you do remember someone from EPIC saying something about the screen splitting, right? i just hope they dont screw it up, most likely they wont! :)

The only thing i can think of is Co-op not on xbox live, but thats obviously split-screen... i dont know. Hopefully someone from EPIC can clear this up a bit

hopefully, and offline/split screen Co-op would have to be splitscreen, b/c it wouldnt make sense if it wasnt, u could both go into aim mode or move around well if it was one screen, it has to be 2!

maybe this is what Jack, the robot is for. You could give a short command and all of the sudden *poof* the screen splits
in other words, maybe its optional

I just now thought that maybe the screen only splits if you're doing Co-Op online.
Like if you're doing it Local w/ your bro or something maybe when you're close its together but when you 2 separate it splits.
Maybe thats when it splits.

well it would still be annoying to get stuck to close to ur buddy and then the screen keeps splitting and going back together, plus it would be too hard to aim when ur both in the same screen

well it would still be annoying to get stuck to close to ur buddy and then the screen keeps splitting and going back together, plus it would be too hard to aim when ur both in the same screen

yea it would be impossible to go into the "second" person mode if you were both on the same screen and neither of you would be able to see where you are aiming

thats exactly what i ment, thanks for agreeing, so im guessing the "splitting into 2 seperate screens" thing is not true, well hopefully it isnt, im confused about this:confused:

the screen would have to split, b/c if ur playing 2 player (splitscreen mode) with only one screen on one xbox then it would be hard to aim and move around in one screen, the screen splits for sure

Im guessing that EPIC will make Local Xbox Co-Op games split screens
and the Online co-op things wont be since you're on separate TVs...
But hey... Never know, never got any confirmation on this tho

thats what im hopeing for, and thats the usual thing, but EPIC said something about splitting screens, maybe they said/meant splitting paths like Dom goes one way and u another, w/e EPIC will make it work

Yeah thats what i heard, if you go seperate ways on MP co-op the screen splits... Im just hoping i heard wrong

Flak the mod told me that they will answer it if they can, but she can't only the devs can, i think its not what we think it is, i think there is no screensplitting, we must have been confused, EPIC will make it work!
