How do I start my own "clan"?

Hey like I said in my last thread "Im new to the whole GOW" thing.

I really dont even like action/adventure like games I usually just stick to my sports, but this game is just too far out there not to have.....

So I was wondering how do you go about starting you own "online team/clan?"

or do you just get people together and organized and make up a name?

also How do I go about joining a "team/clan" when the game is released, anyone have any openings for a rookie who's willing to learn?"

It is not too difficult to start your own clan but I would say you are better off trying to join a clan once the game ships. Once 12th November rolls around, there will be loads of clans recruiting new members. If you want to you can always get a forum up and running, pick a nice clan name and go from there. Pretty much every clan starts from somewhere.

At the moment I am unsure how clan support works within Gears of War. I know the 360 has support built into it but I do not know if Gears supports in-game clan listings, team uniforms, private matches etc.

If you can get organized and start making some plans and stuff, then you could be good to go after the game launches and you get to play together. So, since we got about 3 months I wouldn't say it's too early. I'm in a clan for another game that's coming out next year and we're organized and have everything set up for when the game's released.

It is not rocket science you know just set up a free forum (shop around) and just start advertising it (the more work you put into it the more members you shall get). As for I will wait until Epic say something about if GOW get clan as I have something planed for the entire GOW forum.

i usually go solo too, but in this case since its a tactical teamwork shooter, i think ill join/make a clan, but i hate clans that take it way too serious, and im not talking clans that want to win because we all want to win, but that you have to sign papaerwork for and trying out 6 times, i just want a group of ppl that know each other well that can play the game to win but not to the point where your stressing over it
