Please someone tell me that there will be bots in this game, 2 player splitscreen is'nt enough, It's always fun to have computer controlled opponents to play against. Can someone from Epic please confirm BOTS.

i doubt there will be bots to be honest, i would say to go online with your friend(if there a guests allowed which im sure there will be) but if you dont have live i guess you can always play co-op, if it gets boring, try raisining the difficulty lvl or taking different paths than last time

no bots have been announced, they couldnt hurt though.....but i seriously doubt it

as uday said no bots have been announced but they could easily be implemented in the game, but it is not likely.
I would like bots aswell as i do not have xbox live (yet) and would eventually get bored of single player (maybe after a few thousand hours of play, maybe more)

bots would be cool espically if theres a splitscreen mode.

have 3 of your friends agaisnt 8 bots on ultra hard settings would be killer

Well i'm a bot-o-holic.

Bots would be nice, i liked UT series for the bots, and they're real smart too.

I do with the bots of Ultra hard setting > Humans with the words of : hAha i GoT you you ****er f** hahA nOoB ha...etc

Sure i could mute the screaming $h!t out of them, but then, what's the difference between them and bots eh?

Me, I'd be all for the appearance of bots. And, knowing Epic, I'm sure they could pull it off good.

Bots would be good actually, I enjoyed training offline against tough bots on PDZ - and it helps a bunch. Would be a nice touch if they do it, but not essential.

Well the Unreal games had bots in them. And id love then to practice and stuff and people who dont have XBL could use it

Bots would be good. some of my fondest gaming experiences go all the way back to the original Perfect dark days, on the N64. They had all different kinds of bots, like rocket bot, kamikaze bot, predator bot, sissy bot, kung-fu bot, etc...That would kick@$$ in this game, minus the personalities and behaivors of the specific bots, as mentioned. I dont have XBL on the 360 yet, cuz im 2 lazy to switch from OXB to XB360.:D

Xbox Live + Xbox 360 = greatest console on earth. Get Xbox Live so you can play GoW against real people - what better reason to get LIVE than GoW?

I dont think there will be bots, but their is a flying bot that looks like the one from halo, and cliffy b said if it is too much like halo we F*cked up.

A good idea would be if you could start up a game filled with bots but as people joined they replaced the bots until they leave, then a bot comes back etc, that way the game will never be empty and there won't be uneven teams.

Yeah but many times they will mess up. Like they'll be way too easy to kill or way to hard. The only game that I've seen successfully pull off the mp bots thing is red dead revolver.

you can do that in Counter Strike: source,
when people join they replace a bot and whne they leave that bot gets re-added

i like bots because if you want to play a quick practice game then you could take a couple of bots on.

yea bots would be great if you had a clan or a group of friends and were practicing using formations and tactics on the bots before you tried it against human players

i think it would be kewl if there was a multiplayer thing were they just sent wave after wave at you, sort of like in mechassualt where they would keep sending mechs at you, and i would also like to be a way to have bots in multiplayer because i would like to be able to play people other than online, and be on a team with four of my friends, that would be awsome. Or i could just use me and my friend and have like a little training session.

but yeah i can see me and my friend fighting against bots, but thats basically what the co-op is for

Well hopefully Gears of War will have alot of the co-op features that GRAW had, and MORE. If I remember Cliffy B correctly, he said the co-op would be amazing, so thats a big plus because as he said, co-op is the best.

I just thought of something, if cliffy makes the bots TOO fun to play with, it'll end up like chromehounds, where everyone plays against bots instead of playing against real people... and take away the fun... but if they did the counter strike thing when people join they replace a bot, that way the teams would never be un-even

that is, if there is bots

That's always a problem, but hey games are for fun - so stupid crap is normally more of a laugh than an annoyance :rolleyes:

I wonder if you can play co-op alone like on some games, I doubt it's possible in Gears though because you probably HAVE to have both people to play since there are probably cutscenes involving both... but what if one of you goes down, what then? Continue on your own?

I honestly can't see a game with excellent AI like this not having bots. Also this is epic we are talking about, how could there not be bots in one of their games?
