Brand Spanking New GoW WP

Here is muh newest wallpaper effort. I'm considering doing up a series of similar wallpapers if enough interest is generated.

it doesn't look professional. i can see that you used the 'bevel emboss' feature in the blending options..
i think you should make the logo without that texture, to make it fit better with the rest. i know it's not very original but i think it will make a nice WP

Damn! Thats a nice wallpaper! But why did you use the weird bald guy aka Minh Young Kim?:p I think it would look alot better with Marcus.:) Just my opinion though.

Don't like the logo, eh? Well, I figured I'd add my own little twist, but I can appreciate the opinions of others. I don't quite understand the sentiment that if it it doesn't look exactly like the original then it is not "professional". Who said art has to be professional? Besides, I've only seen a few other fanmade wallpapers here that actually look professional.

Also, I'm not sure what the beef with beveled edges is, but that particular version of the logo contains about 8 layers (between the skull and text parts). I state that only so you know I didn't just use the Blend options beveling. I'm not changing the first wallpaper, it will stand as is.

Anyway, here is a new Marcus version with some of the suggested changes. In all honesty, I like this one better.

sorry about the beval emboss thing. but you can accomplish the same effect with it very easy. playing around with that gives nice results sometimes.

One more WP for y'all. I prefer to do more than just cut and paste a picture onto a solid background and call it a wallpaper. I like for my wallpapers to have that "Crotale" look (whatever that means, right?) For this WP, I wanted to try something a bit different than all the other GoW wallpapers, so this might not click with everyone. Enjoy!

cool effect! where did you get that clean letters? you traced them or what?

Thanks. I did sort of trace the letters. I used a couple of functions in Paintshop to get the outlines just right, then I used alpha channels to create and fill a few layers to make the lettering look the way it does. The background was actually made from about three layers, one of which was color desaturated. The other two layers received some "special" treatment in the way of 3rd party filtering. The filters were used sparingly of course, so as not to look like filters were used, I hope.

On the next one... try having the Logo as big as marcus, but faded into the background... but no texture changes, i think that would be great

Actually, it's spelled "veni vidi vici" and it is Latin for the phrase, "I came, I saw, I conquered." Seeing how the French language is one of the Romance languages found upon the Latin language, I suppose a French guy could use the phrase as a name, although it is typically leaning toward Italian rather than French.

Im new to myspace and I cant figure out were fans got their layouts, its frenian, whatever it is, its not american

And here is one more for you all to use. He-she-it is ugly, but ya gotta admit, looks pretty sweet. I did some manipulation to make the imagery seem a bit more photorealistic, but Epic already provided a darned realistic looking model to work with; therefore, I didn't need to do much.
