it's 4 v 4 deathmatch, and 2 player co-op, with around 14 weapons to use

Trigga, you can still watch alot of fragments on gamespot.com. That's how I watched E3. There is also a stage show demonstration of Gears of War.

I'm hopin' split screen is vertical.....or atleast have the option to change it. Having a wide screen I think things would look better split vertically

CTF..hmm I don't think in GOW at all.

Personally, instead of CTF. I would like to have a game of capture the territories. For me at least, it gets really intence when the timer starts ticking down and for the pace of this game, it might just work.

Not exactly like battlefield. Battlefield is to crowded. More of a tatical version of Halo 2 capture the territores/ Have three or four capture points and see who can hold off the longest.
