I'm just now trying to get into the whole map building scene, and I think I broke unrealed. >.>

The actor properties window will not come up, no matter what I do. F4. Click from the menu. Right click the actor and edit properties... it just doesn't appear.

If anyone can help me resolve this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Could just be off screen.

There is a way to move sub windows some how crtl-d? or m?

You're probably correct. Ctrl+D is "deintersect", and ctrl+m doesn't seem to do anything.

Maybe there's a .ini file that remembers the positions of all my windows? Something I can delete in order to set them to defaults?

Temporarily (or permanently?) increase your screen resolution. If you want to go back to the original resolution, move the properties window so it will still be visible afterwards.

You are correct sir....Delete you user.ini and UEd.ini.

Ie had this problem alot, and deleting the proper .ini's always works.

You can delete the unrealed.ini then reboot the Ed. or go into that .ini and take a look and make some adjustments.

You can also delete the UT2004.ini and the User.ini and reboot the game ect.

The system has a default.ini and a Defuser.ini and also a Defunrealed.ini as backups for you in case you have troubles.

If you have important additions in your UT2004.ini or User.ini then make a copy of those to the desktop first and transfer the added data over after deletions! Be a shame to lose all those nifty key binds ect.

Good Luck..;)

Just thought about that: After opening the properties window, pres Alt+Space (that's like clicking on the window icon in the title bar) to open the window's system menu and then press V. (at least that's the key in the German version of Windows; the menu should be visible though, so just select the correct entry with the mouse or cursor keys) Now you will be able to move the window using your cursor keys. Click the left mouse button to return to normal operation.

Ugh, I wish I saw this first.

I deleted unrealed.ini, not user and ued.... now unrealed gets critical stops every time I start it.

Now I really did break my editor.

I don't suppose anyone here could copy/paste one so I can rebuild it? (yeah, i imagine defunrealed.ini is the defaults and I could just use that, but uh... i sorta deleted that too. Wasn't thinking clearly atm.. hindsight is 20/20 and that sort of thing.

Wel try deleting DefaultUnrealEd.ini....it might restore your Editor properly.

EDIT:missed the part about you already deleting it.....

Try deleting the main .ini files. They should rewrite.

I think if you fire up the game first in some of these cases so it can write a new .ini that may help you.

If not, just reinstall. I know it's a pain but you've learned a great lesson.

These things happen at times my man.
