Maya crash error, repeatable

So I can scroll in as far as I desire but if I try and scroll out I recieve this error,

"fatal error: atempting to save in c:docume~1/joe/locals~1/temp/joe.20060626.1735.ma"

and the program ctd's.

As far as I can figure there is no auto-save so why would it be attempting to save to a directory that does not exist?

Basically I can't do anything 'till this is fixed, any ideas?
Running Maya 6.0 Unlimited.

hmm thats really stragne man, If I knew what to tell you I would......

ALl I can suggest is poke through the window menu and prefereces etc...

Did you set your scrollwheel to perform some function somewhere? Windows or Mouse Utilities perhaps or Maybe you changed some settings in Maya?

I couldn't find any preference settings to change any buttons with, I tried to see if there was an auto-save feature that was checked but I didn't find that either.
