I've been making meshes and there like 256 units tall in Unreal size.

In Maya , the draw distance? is like really close or whatever.

Unless Im right up on the model ,I cannot see it, and even then, usuallly only part of it. Basically only REALLY small models can be seen in there entirity, at any given time.

Is there a way to change this to where I can see the whole model...like for texturing purposes?????????????????????...this would make my life alot easier...LOL

THANX IN ADVANCE AS ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maya is indeed rather weird that way. Have you noticed how the "standard" primitive shapes are all only 1 unit large as well? I'm not exactly sure why everything is "scaled down" in maya, but there is a solution to the "cull distance" problem.

I don't know it off the top of my head, as I haven't worked in maya for quite some time now, but I'll open it up in a couple minutes, and let you know :D

EDIT: okay, here's how it goes: at the top of each viewport, there's a tab named "view". click on that, and then go to "camera attribute editor". That'll open up a menu, in which you're looking for the "far clip plane" box. Then, just fill in the desired "cull distance", rinse, and repeat for the other viewports.
You have to redo this for every new scene though, so what I did, is I made a scene named "new", that has everything set to my liking, with a 64 unit, UV mapped cube. Whenever I'm going to make a new model, I just open that up, and start from there.
