Online Onslaught Problem

im not sure if this is a problem of my pc, or just something about onslaught i dont understand,

When playing online, after a while, i cant use any weapons, although sometimes can if i get in a vehicle, or turret, although quite often i can hear the noise, but not see the fire.

Ive got the latest version, and my system is well above min spec.

I have no other problems with the game (other than the very occastional freeze / crash)

Any ideas? Is this common? Do onslaught servers online make this happen?

Never heard of this problem and it's defenitly not Onslought related. Maybe you could try a different server. If you're living in Europe you could try the servers in my sig.

Sounds like lag, maybe a problem with your connection or just playing on a server where the ping is too high. Did you check your ping when this happens? Try a different server (something close to home :)) and see if it makes a difference. Can you still open the in-game menus when the problem occurs?

I only tend to play on the servers that i get a decent ping to.

Say no higher than 80, but when i join the server browser may say theyre at about 50.

It doesnt happen in other variations of the game, as i play a bit of instagib ctf and plain old deathmatch.

I can do everything when it happens. Run about, get in vehicles, see other players scores changing, etc etc. I thought it may be some odd mod or somthing. It never happens straight away either, always after a while so i thought maybe i'd died too many times or something.

My ping is still reported at about 70.

It happened when i played onslaught before i updated to the latest patch too.

And even odder, when i get in a vehicle with a turret or gun (eg the standard tank) what i see on my screen is the tank, with no turret on top. It certainly looks odd!

Im not too technical, what does that mean, what causes it, and is there any way i can fix it?

I have this problem every now and then, but... only on certain servers AND only when they reach the max player count, so I guess there's nothing we can do but play on some other ;)
