Okay, so I installed UT2004 and UDE under an Admin account on my computer, but when I login under my limited account, I am unable to start UDE because it says I have an invalid (or unknown) installation of UT2004, but I can then proceed to start UT2004 up and it works fine. Could anyone point out a resource to aid me, or give instructions for a workaround.

WOTgreal just starts up, then the loading screen vanishes. Opening Task Manager reveals the WOTgreal process has vanished also.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this either.

Thanks for any help.

It uses the registry, is the user allowed access to read and write to the registry?

The account has the usual acess to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER branch. Are there anny registry values I need to duplicate from the Administrator CURRENT_USER?

Could you tell me the specific branches/keys that it tries to access, so I can grant permission for them.

It needs read/write access to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT (it does a check here to see what .uc classes are associated with. If it is not WOTgreal it will prompt you if you want to set it to be WOTgreal)

When Delphi opens up a key in the registry, it doesn't do it for read only, it opens it for read/write (and I haven't gone through to re-write the registry classes provided by borland)

I give up. I uninstalled WOTgreal, then re-installed it and tried running it, only to have the WOTgreal loading screen show for two seconds, then vanish, taking it's process with it. This is all under an admin account, Win XP Pro
